Well the CEO isn't exactly an oil painting is he? !

However, although I'm a size 16 so would probably be banned, I wouldn't want to shop there anyway. If I was a size 10, I probably wouldn't want to shop there either as I'd be in the biggest size they do, which is always depressing. Wink

It's up to them what they sell, to whom, in what size although I don't really see it as good business sense.

What I find amusing is that the CEO looks like a troll. According to his policy, he shouldn't be working there or wearing the clothes.

Well, if people are stupid enough to pay their silly prices so they can show off a label and call themselves one of the Beautiful People then it's a good job they've got their looks cos they're surely lacking in the brains department.

I see no difference with this than Evans who only cater for 16 plus.
A&F are targeting a particular set of buyers that is all.

evans start from a 14 and don't tell people they're too ugly to be seen in their clothes.

I think it's not the same. catering for a certain size range is not the same as saying no uggos in our clothes!

He is very clever.
This article will only increase sales.

Yes, he's a prick. Typical attitude of do as I say, not as I do. He was beaten quite a bit with the ugly stick though. It's his company so he can pretty much do what he likes with it really. I personally wouldn't even look at their clothes, far too boring and square for me. He's shot himself in the foot really though as buy narrowing their target consumer so much they're minimising any profit they make.

Haha! He looks like Stretch Armstrong been left out in the sun.

Anyway, I'm reliably informed by my eldest (who is a distance swimmer, with a distance swimmers build) that A&F is incredibly chavvy. Grin

YABU; he's more of a total bell end than a prick and I've seen better looking bell ends.

I'm in total agreement. The guy's a tosser and I hope he doesn't wear his own clothes because he's hardly in his own target demographic.

Not the sort of clothes I'd buy anyway, tbh - bit shit.

Did I not read elsewhere recently that their sales have bombed? Can't think why... When not pregnant (!) I fit into and quite like their clothes, but I find the whole noisy, dark, tryhardy shopping experience so unpleasant that I almost never go.

This is the business that discriminated against a disabled girl working there and I've never forgotten that. My daughter won't shop there because of their arrogance. www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1192674/I-banished-stockroom-says-disabled-shop-girl-suing-Abercrombie--Fitch-discrimination.html

They really do sound an obnoxious company to work for.

What about thin and ugly people - are they allowed in? Hmm

I'd quite like it if they "do a Ratners", tbh. What a horrible set-up!

My daughter 5 wanted to go into their Paris store on Saturday as it is a pretty impressive building with impressive gold and black gates. I had no idea what it was and as we went through the gates and round a corner there were half naked men standing in the door way it actually came across as some kind of sex shop, I was absolutely disgusted and would not go in even after I noticed the very small sign Abercrombie & Fitch.

Is this why their shops are so dark? So you can't tell who's ugly?

Overrated shite it is.

Just an acceleration of the "i'm prettier then you so you're worthless" thing thats been around for years. You'll always get parasites that feed off peoples cruelty and arrogance.

maddening has beaten me to it. Do they have bouncers on the door to make sure that anyone who doesn't meet their definition of beautiful doesn't get in? Hmm

I DO see a difference between this and Evans, Long Tall Sally and High 'n' Mighty, other "sizeist" shops mentioned. These shops were set up to cater for people who couldn't find clothes in "normal" shops because their size was bigger than average.
The range in Evans was designed with the bigger woman in mind, not just sized up from the standard size 10 (as it used to be).

This abomination of a store is not catering for a niche market; it's deliberately excluding people who "don't look right". Might as well say that no black people should wear their clothes, it's along the same lines.
