AIBU?

AIBU to think Ocado could have told me they were cancelling the order before 12.30am?

Especially as they had been showing my order status as on its way but running late since the scheduled delivery time.

Really disappointed as I've always had a high opinion of Ocado.

I understand it's not the driver's fault, and the delay could be due to all sorts of problems (and obviously I genuinely hope there was no road accident). I know the drivers cannot drive all night. However, I do think that someone at the contact centre could have sent an email or text to cancel rather than leaving me to wait 3 hours and then just changing the status on the website. They have my phone number and email address.

YANBU, but I bet they give you some cracking vouchers to compensate. ;)

YANBU - it's very naughty to not call you to cancel. Hope they rearrange delivery ASAP.

Been to Sainsbury's now- couldn't wait until next available slot on Thursday . Have bought chocolate to compensate though.

No vouchers yet- not even a response to my email!

outrageous. When a Tesco truck broke down in my drive, I got a text apologising for the delayed order about 10 mins later (Obviously I'd had my stuff!) Ocado should be able to do the same.

write a snot-a-gram and ask for some vouchers.

That is very unlike Ocado. Their customer service is usually excellent. I would ring them to complain rather than email.

Very unlike Ocado. They have brilliant customer service usually. I get an order twice a week and have done for years and have never had a problem.

Ring them, or tweet as I'm told they're good at responding to those and you should hear straight back.

Some vouchers are in order for sure.

This is the first time we've had a delivery issue with them. Will ring tomorrow if I haven't heard back.

I had thought about just going to do the shopping at Sainsbury's from now on but it seems a lot more expensive!

Very odd. I had my first experience of a cancelled order with Ocado about a month ago. I had a phone call, email & text message and then a phone call the next day just to check that I'd received the very generous voucher.

I phoned them, they were very apologetic and will look into why I wasn't contacted, and have offered a voucher (should cover the extra cost incurred by having to go to Sainsbury's!)

I too have had massive problems with ocado recently after years of good service. One cancelled order and one v v late order in the last 10 days. The 2nd time the driver rang our doorbell at 1am, despite the fact id called the service centre and asked them to tell him not to do that after 1130pm. What was most unusual is that I didn't get a call either time - I've had drivers run late before, but never have they not got in contact.

First time we got a £35 gift voucher, second time they didn't even refund the delivery charge! I am using waitrose delivery from now on, I just can't be bothered with ocado again.

Haven't ocado just tied up w morrissons? Maybe they are
Over stretched. Either way, it is hopeless.

Why the Hmm LaGuardia I did a shop recently at Sainsburys instead of Waitrose because it's closer and my shopping was £20 more than I normally pay. I also find it cheaper to shop online because I can tailor my shop to my budget rather than go round getting everything on my list and finding it's over budget when I pay.
