Someone started a thread about FCUK t-shirts the other day and now one on Dido. I am begining to think I have fallen through the space-time continum and landed in 2001.

God her music is so bland and calculated to be inoffensive that having an opinion on it is like having an opinon on air or sliced bread.

The song that changed my life was Cybelle's Reverie by Stereolab. It was so perfect that I thought I'd wished it into existence, it made every piece of music I'd heard up to that date sound second rate and I still get slightly giddy when I hear it. I can't imagine anyone hearing a Dido song and thinking 'fuck me that is what music is all about' or 'hearing that track changed my life.'

The lyrics seems calculated to say nothing to no one. It is almost as if her entire output was designed by a committee at Haeart FM to be almost to be barely detectable to the naked ear and fill the gaps between the adverts.

She has a weak, reedy voice. She was one of several acts that was playing when I saw her, and she absolutely stood out as the weak singer. My friend who had been raving about seeing her nearly cried she was so disappointed.
