I wouldn't go tbh I've heard others gossiping about others having fun when off sick and couldn't be bothered with it...

Don't accidents at work have to be logged and reported ...? Doesn't sound like a responsible employer.

Reckon your boss has more reason to be worried about potential negligence than about what you do in your own time.

I wouldn't go. Better to miss it a couple of times than worry about the gossip.

It sounds like your safety at work is more the issue, though. And that's terrible you're losing a week's pay.

I personally wouldn't, just because of the possible repercussions. A work colleague at the same class? I just wouldn't risk it.

Personally, I wouldn't do it, particularly if someone from work is there. A friend of mine lost her job because of a similar situation.
