to think that 'free child places' for holidays are a con?

A major tour operator markets 'free child places' in their brochures for virtually all their hotels.

It turns out the tour operator offers between one and three free child places for each hotel per 'stay'.

So, for the average 250 room hotel, an optimistic number of 5 families (considering the overlap of holiday dates) will have benefitted from a 'free child place'.

'Free child places for 2% of customers' doesn't sound quite so appealing, does it?

Is it not just standard first come first served?
Certain number of child places per hotel, book early or miss out?

I just can't give a shit when I'm not having a holiday this year sad

Can't say I'm bothered.

'free' child places will have the bill picked up by childless people. No such thing as a free lunch I'm afraid.
