had surgery mid week, day case but a lot done. On a cocktail of drugs now which are making me tired and cant sleep very well. have hardly eaten due to soreness but it seems like buisness as usual at home. Kids just as mad as ever whining at each other/me/being bored. house getting messier by the minute and im starving so major sulking. just want one of them to stop and say hey you dont look so good would you like a bru/me to sit with you. Disclaimer - i am not normally a mard arse but im tired, sore and hungry.

How old are the children?

If they are bored set them off doing housework - kill two birds with one stone!

don't really have many friends. that sounds abit pathetic but true. they are all five and older, can see the jobs going down well think I'd be less grumpy if I wasn't starving

I am you in 5 days - had my op last friday - still sore and codeine seeing me through.

I paid £ 50 for a one off clean today - dfiance took son out and I sat on the sofa and directed :)

Rice dishes may not need chewing?

I considered getting a home help type person for a couple of hours in the am when dfiance goes back and mum at work (can't lift my toddler and hard moving too much) they do cleaning and food prep.....

takeaway went by the wayside due to no money so having mash, ds now screaming and toasting hot so probably ill and will only have me. I literally think I'm in hell

dp here but ds v fussy on who has him while hes ill. have recruited dad to pick us up some calpol though. shit timing or what!

well you and ds hole up in your bed with calpol for him and painkillers for you, maybe a fun dvd and a bell - dp can wait on you two and sort the other dc out - maybe give him a list of the biggest most winkiest chores to be getting on with.

my dfiance came down with a virus on sunday night - twas also shit timing but my mum came and helped monday and tuesday daytimes and got us through the worst - glad you dfather is rallying round :-) text him and get some food brought round.

that sounds grim glad you had some help. have managed chicken and mash with what seemed like entire jar of gravy and now feeling abit more human. ds in bed with fan on, he sounds very snuffly so I'm guessing tomorrow will be a sofa day.

I have a cocktail of pills, wondering if I'm not in pain whether I can leave taking the codeine it is wiping me out and with ds poorly need to be abit more functioning! thanks for making me feel better .

if you're in pain, take the codeine. have a poorly room for you and ds with sp sorting out everything else. hope you both feel better soon x

not in pain today really just suffering from lack of sleep, never had codeine before for anything I can remember its brutal but does work. had a tube up my nose which is now probably the most painful part of me. how are we all this morning ?
