It's in a square box btw.

First he taped one bit of it before deciding he had too much paper, so he cut a bit off the end. While it was half wrapped, if you see what I mean. Then it wasn't straight so he kept shimming bits off. And a bit more. And a bit more.

Then he kept folding and unfolding the ends so that they were perfectly even.

This took ten minutes and lots of swearing.

Finally he has made sure all the creases are sharp.

It's terribly impressive. But it has taken him half an hour and I have almost lost the will to live. He still has two more to wrap.

He is frowning at me now because I keep laughing and not helping.

Aibu?

Does he realise it will take your DD approximately .9999 of a second to rip the paper off the present?

Yup.

Oh god he's found the gift tags. Imagine the possibilities for faffery...

I'm going to bed.

Reminds me of my dh making sandwiches for our dd's birthday party last weekend. We had a convoluted conversation about how many sandwiches to make, as he claimed not to understand the concept of a round of sandwiches. Then he asked me whether the sandwiches should be cut into squares or triangles. I replied triangles. He then asked whether they should be equilateral, isosceles or scalene triangles...

I've been known to take photos of presents DH has wrapped and sent them to all my friends. It always raises a smile Grin

I can't watch DH wrapping presents. It's so awkward and the end result looks like it was wrapped by someone who simply did not give a shit, when the reality was that it took the man half an hour of clenched-toothed determination.
