Yes....I have a two year old who has just learnt these fateful words...

I feel like I'm going insane...

YANBU. I feel that way about "I", "Did" and "It"

Note: My son would make a rubbish criminal.

Oh the incessant questioning, that never gets boring does it, even from a 5 year old.

Yadnbu.

And in a few months time you will NBU for wanting 'why?' removed as well.

Loulybelle Mon 15-Apr-13 19:55:55

and "Does", "This" and "Do", along "doing"

"Why are you doing that" is the dreaded sentence.

Ah bless,yabu.

I love it. I could spend all day chatting to my toddler.

I would however like the words 'this' and 'that' followed by ^ to be removed from Mumsnet. Really annoys me on a thread when people do it angry Sorry, totally off topic blush

WildlingPrincess Mon 15-Apr-13 20:29:32

I vote 'Why?' goes too.

YANBU!!!

DD1 spent a whole year saying this .. it felt like it anyway!

DD2 went along the 'Why?' route.

YANBU

It never stops . She's not started the why yet. Before I became a mum I thought I would have endless patience and would give clear honest answers to every question I was very naive

My dd is 7yo and I find the interrogation questioning just gets more sophisticated!!!

ClayDavis Mon 15-Apr-13 20:52:26

I'l vote for "No", "it" and "isn't". As in

"What's that?"
"A chair."
"No it isn't."
"What's that?
"A chair."
etc. etc.

Hehe, I'm glad I'm not alone. Her speech is coming along great and obviously I'm pleased about that...it's just when she comes up to me with some unexplainable bit of something that doesn't really have a name or purpose and asks me over and over again what it is...I'm having to invent words grin

YANBU! It's lovely when their language starts taking off, but it does get on your nerves when it's the 1000th time that day.

"What you doing?"
"Ironing my shirt."
"Why?"
"To get the wrinkles out"
"Why?"
"So it looks nice."
"Why?"
etc.
