To think Ocado should deliver to North Lincs?

I feel deprived of home delivery options. Thanks to our lack of Ocado, I am left at the mercy of Asda and Tesco who are both (locally at least) incapable of delivering orders without missing items/lots of short dated stuff/damaged items yadda, yadda, yadda and a small Sainsburys which doesn't have a great range.

I WANT OCADO. <stamps foot> angry

Its not fair, its just not fair.

Am I being unreasonable? grin

We're in N.Lincs. We noticed that Ocado don't deliver here too. we just go to the supermarkets in general though so it doesn't affect us too badly.

I have two DCs under two so home delivery is my friend. smile

I am utterly fed up with the current options.

I'm in north lincs too, we go over the bridge to waitrose in willerby if we get desperate for waitrose only stuff.

I think there are very few mnetters in this neck of the woods <waves to fellow rarities>

They should deliver to north Devon too sad so should waitrose!! I'm fed up of tescos!!!

lottiegarbanzo Sat 13-Apr-13 22:51:12

You should probably have asked your conveyancing solicitor to include this in your searches when you moved there. 'Does it flood, sit over a mine and are there Ocado deliveries?'

Try living in Scotland!

JollyPurpleGiant Sat 13-Apr-13 22:57:02

We have:
No Ocado
Nearest Waitrose 180miles
Nearest Ikea 180miles (and a £90 per item delivery charge)

lottiegarbanzo Sat 13-Apr-13 23:07:22

Btw I'm in Notts and when I moved here about 10 years ago the Waitrose in Newark was the furthest north in the country (I regarded it as something like a museum, 'ooh, ahh, so spacious, such a beautiful olive display!) and Ocado did not deliver here at all. I think you are getting ahead of real time and the south east has yet to catch up with you...

YouYoniLiveTwice Sat 13-Apr-13 23:10:20

Ooh! I used to live in North Lincs <waves>

JollyPurpleGiant Sat 13-Apr-13 23:10:32

AND we can't get any good broadband deals (or speed) as our exchange hasn't yet been upgraded sad

CoolaSchmoola Sat 13-Apr-13 23:32:42

I agree, in the hope that if those in N Lincs get it so will those of us in N E Lincs.

We have Asda, Tesco and Sainsbury delivery, and Morrisons are apparently starting delivering soon but I NEEEEED Waitrose!

Currently having to schlep all the way to Lincoln (plus side they have a Lakeland too) but it's too far to go as often as I'd like.

HousewifeFromHeaven Sat 13-Apr-13 23:40:09

jolly where do live??

ladymariner Sun 14-Apr-13 00:43:44

I'm in NE Lincs.....(waves to fellow Yellow Bellies) xx

LadyMaryQuiteContrary Sun 14-Apr-13 01:27:27

There's a teeny tiny Waitrose store in Nottingham, that's it! I've been nagging them on twitter to make it larger but they are not listening! They don't deliver as the nearest largest store is in Newark (20 miles away) and they are too 'busy'. hmm Can get Ocado though. Why don't you email and ask them now they have a swanky new delivery centre? wink

YouYoniLiveTwice Sun 14-Apr-13 01:42:20

The Waitrose in Hull used to deliver to Wootton, where I used to live smile

JollyPurpleGiant Sun 14-Apr-13 07:03:08

Housewife, I'm in NE Scotland. The beautiful scenery and excellent quality of life make up for the lack of middle class civilisation. Honest.

elliepac Sun 14-Apr-13 07:21:44

I didn't realise there was anyone else from N. Lincs here on mumsnet. We are indeed a rarity.grin

Tesco delivery round here is shite, always late, always wrong. Don't like Asda so haven't tried their delivery service. I use the Sainsbury's quite a lot but didn't realise they delivered. Might try that now.

I've driven past the Willerby Waitrose a few times and glanced wistfully but can't justify the petrol money and bridge toll when all the other are on my doorstep.

elliepac Sun 14-Apr-13 07:24:03

Oh and I clicked on this thread not because I have a burning interest but because it's the first time I have ever seen North Lincs in Active Convosgrin

Tee2072 Sun 14-Apr-13 07:26:49

They don't even exist in NI. Or Waitrose.

IShallCallYouSquishy Sun 14-Apr-13 07:40:24

Golden... They should deliver to east Devon too angry

Maybe the whole of Devon has been rejected. If so I'm counting that we racism and might have to write a strongly worded letter wink

Rowgtfc72 Sun 14-Apr-13 09:45:37

Oo Im in Cleethorpes. So there are some of us over the bridge then ! Only reason I clicked on this thread too ! I would like Cornish Rattler cider in NE Lincs too grin

LadyMaryQuiteContrary Sun 14-Apr-13 11:07:15

Have you tried Abel and Cole? They may deliver as they use local farms. smile

KatyTheCleaningLady Sun 14-Apr-13 11:22:15

I keep reading this thread title as "... should deliver to North Korea." shock
