AIBU to refuse to let DD wear these new bell bottoms? They're the stuff of nightmares plus she's got a large derriere and she looks like a salt cellar in them.

My new bri-nylon blouse has shrunk in the Bendix....DH is now asking me to wear it anyway...we're off to meet the new neighbours tonight at something called a "car key party". Would I look fast?

AIBU to send my 6 year old to the corner shop to get twenty woodbines for grandad?

AIBU to leave the kids in the car with pop and crisps while DH and I spend the evening in the pub?

get the woodbines after you've got the tea...the kids will be fine on their own in bed. They'll not know you've gone.

Can't think of 50s/70s but

AIBU to think this is a joke?

I have 14 children of my own, my husband has three children with his first wife. I think he's influenced by his own parents who had about a dozen waines (although sadly only a handful made it past age 5).. He's recently gone bankrupt and we are crammed into a two bedroom house in the centre of the city... My stepdaughters have all married but keep coming back with their own broods.. AIBU to fed up and to think this is God's idea of a joke?

(My gt gt gt grandpa's wife, who, God bless her, died at age 50 when her youngest was 8, had the largest family I've ever come across. Alfred, Fred, Emma, Mary, Ann, Diana, George, Nellie, Madeline, Rosa, Edward, Maud, Minnie, Florence, John and Harriet - only one set of twins. Crazy stuff.)

How about WIBU to leave my Silver Cross pram outside Marks and Spencer while I browsed for an hour? Luckily I remembered to take Ds1 in with me as when I came out the pram had gone (never to be seen again).

AIBU to refuse to give up my job now that I am a married woman?

AIBU to ask DH to change a nappy now and again?

You can't just list loads of AIBU people! Grin you must give people a chance to respond.

Now Harriet, if you try to keep your job, you may make your husband feel inadequate. He needs to know he's the breadwinner and how much you appreciate all his hard work.

If you want to make yourself feel better, rather than working for pin money, why not join your local WI or ask your doctor for some special pills just for busy married women like you?

Nice girls don't use excitable punctuation like that, Neo. Why don't you sit down quietly at the back - and I hope you're crossing your ankles and not sprawling in your chair.

AIBU to dress up as a man to gain entry to medical school?

AIBU to ask my husband for some of the inheritance I received from my mothers estate?

AIBU to think I should not give my baby whiskey when he/she is teething?

AIBU to think I should be able to walk home from my friends house, alone, at night without being arrested for prostitution?

AIBU to think women should not have to surrender control of their own money to their husband?

... These would apply to Victorian/Edwardian women.

AIBU to be annoyed that someone has dared to park their car in our street? If I crane my neck, I can see it out of the window and it really spoils the view.

Am I being unreasonable to want first go in the bath once in a while?

AIBU to keep DH waiting 2 minutes for his tea when he gets in from work because the washing's on the line and it looks like rain, the kitchen floor needs cleaning for the third time today and the baby actually wants a bit of attention. I know he's been working hard all day to keep me and wants his dinner hot and waiting but I'm busy too. Oh fiddlesticks, I am BU aren't I! His work is real work and it is my duty to care for his every need. Sigh. I'd better sign off and iron and starch his clean shirt for tomorrow morning.

AIBU in sending my DH to the pub before dinner?
He insists on hoovering and cooking. All other husbands just let their DW get on with their duties!
