To think that Sarah and Duck on cbeebies should have a proper theme tune?

I can't help but feel that I am not getting value for my license fee when the narrator just says 'Sarah and Duck' three times with some lift Muzak plinking away in the background.

Hey Kansas! "Some are quite big, and some are very small, and the last one's Georgina, who's incredibly taaaalllllllllllll" grin

Another Sarah and Duck loving family here to. DD calls it "Sarah-and-Duck-Quack". All one word.

DD is 6.5 and loves Sarah and Duck. Esp the theme tune. grin

The ep we saw she bought a chair from the Sit Shop. There was a lady on the bus with a talking bag. What's not to like?

I heart Sarah and Duck. Esp the non-theme tune. Yabvvvvvvvu! grin

Aww love Sarah and duck and the theme tune! I'm another quacker too!

Ooh MDA I completely agree, 64 Zoo Lane is a great theme tune. I feel better about my license fee now grin

Chockyeggpants Thu 11-Apr-13 20:10:17

All hail the Duck.

Yabu. The theme tune is perfect. Sarah and Duck is brilliant and favourite programme - oh, DS likes it too.

Moon is wonderful and I love that they have a technology room. Brilliant.

Hate Abney and Teal...and Wooly and fucking Tig.

My 9m/o absolutely loves it for some reason, I think it's the voice. I like how its quite simple and calm, rather than music and flashy tunes.

intheshed Thu 11-Apr-13 20:07:08

Well according to DD2 it is a theme tune... at least she walks around the house singing it to herself (with extra loud quacks)

MDA Thu 11-Apr-13 20:07:05

Lol. 64 zoo lane rocks, apparently she recorded it in 2 takes, aged 7.

PseudoBadger Thu 11-Apr-13 20:05:46

I love how the bag gets so exasperated with poor Scarf Lady

I adore Sarah and Duck, especially the talking cake in "Cake Bake" who then goes on an outing to the park. It's all so surreal, but at the same time simple and wholesome.

LOVE Sarah and Duck.

The other day I showed it to DH on the iPlayer and left the room. NExt time I went to 'Last Played' there were about 7 episodes, he sat up late watching it back to back!

No... I love it.

To respond to Trapper, the licence fee is £2.70/week so for that you get not only 40 eps of Sarah and Duck - the most original kids show for ages (including totally apt theme tune) - but lots of other jolly good audio visual entertainment too. So give over your Mail-ish complaining.

My ears are burning..... smile

BedHanger Wed 10-Apr-13 22:51:21

I love it. I'm currently trying to interest my DS in it and wean him off his Abney and Teal obsession. He spent ages at soft play today building a porridge tower smile.

LittleEdie Wed 10-Apr-13 22:44:18

I like it.

neverputasockinatoaster Wed 10-Apr-13 22:39:02

Sarah and Duck fly through the air. Like a girl and duck. Super Sarah. Super Duck. Super Sarah. Super Duck.

Anyone else think Duck looks more like a pigeon than a duck?
