to be outraged at how crap 4od is
(13 Posts)just that really - it is unwatchable most of the time, randomly freezing, when it gets to the adverts playing just one advert and coming to a complete halt so you have to refresh the whole thing then it does it AGAIN.
How can they not have sorted this out?! It's been happening for years on every different device I've used! Crock of shite.
Outraged? Seems a strong reaction to an on demand telly watching system.
What are you watching it on? Could it be your Internet connection?
This happened to me as well.I gave up and went on to BBC.
Okay Tweasels, it doesn't exactly fill me with longlasting outrage or effect my life...I just cannot believe they haven't sorted it out, been going on for years..I don't have time to watch TV 'live', I catch up with bits and bobs here and there, and so cannot access most things on Channel 4 because of this prob.
I thought it might be my net connection but have same problem at my mum and dad's.
I've never had a problem with it, either on my ipad, laptop or on the sky anytime+ channel.
Fair enough. Sorry, didn't mean to sound so snippy, that clearly didn't read as well as it sounded in my head.
I find most OD stuff quite rubbish on the PC, but it works fine on Sky and on the PS3.
Could you invest in a digital recorder as an alternative?
Good idea tweasels
Have you emailed them? They replied to me v quick & solved my problem.
I've found it horribly glitchy most of the time too. Makes it unwatchable.
Yes I find it very poor quality, definitely not to do with connection or bandwidth. It freezes all the time
Thanks guys glad to know it's not just me!!!
It doesn't work for us either. Gave up on it a long time ago. BBC i-player is way better.
Works beautifully on my shiny youview box plugged into my shiny fibreoptic broadband [smug].
AND if you stop then when you go back into it you can resume form where you left off which annoyingly while iplayer does that on the computer it doesn't on the youview box.Not that it ever freezes but the baby keeps turning it off when dd is watching octonauts on iplayer .
