AIBU to ask for help from the Bra ladies again......?!

Ok, I know IABU, but am posting here as no replies yet on the Style and Beauty boards.............

Hello, I am hoping you will help me. I thought I had it sorted - tried many a bra, been to Bravissimo, found the wonderful but so painful I couldn't wear it Andorra, but finally seem to have settled with the Cleo Juna style. I have a couple of the Cleo Darcy, in 34G and GG, but am still getting lots of underarm fat and a bit of back fat. Now, I am a size 16/18, so do I have to accept that this is as good as it gets for me?? Before finding these threads i was a 38D, and measure 36 under bust, 46 over. The 34 band feels good, I don't think a 32 would even do up!

Even the lady in bravissimo said underarm fat it just a fact of life.......

But I was just wondering, before I accept it for good, if there is any other advice?

Thank you!

SS2

Have you scooped vigorously? It can take some time to retrain lost migrated breast tissue.

Oh yes I scoop like mad! It just still seems to be there, this lump of fat under each arm (TMI, sorry).

Maybe it is just my shape :-(

Give it time, persist with the scooping. Years of ill-fitting bras will have slowly moved the breast tissue, it will take a while to move it back.

It does take time for scooping to have a proper effect but I'm wondering - do you have quite a long torso by any chance? On me, most of my bras come up high enough under the arms that once I have scooped in it's kind of hard for it to escape out of the top again - I occasionally have to "rescoop" the backfat though.

I don't think so, as I am only 5 foot 1! It just seems that the bra cuts across the fat bit, and no matter what i do it won't go in.

I will continue to scoop!

A couple of thoughts.
Have you tried venturing into a bigger cup i.e. a H?

The depth of a Juna cup is quite shallow (think base where band is to top of cup by armpit). A deeper cup would hold in more squish boob. I know the Andorra wires are evil but perhaps another style would be better. Fantasie Elodie would be my first suggestion and Panache Melody full cup -in a couple of cups bigger- my second. Finally, Panache Elsa.

Hello MND and thank you for your reply - I forgot to mention - I did take your advice, and tried a Fantasie Elodie - you recommended a 34FF - and those side supports were the work of the devil - I tried to get used to them, I really did, but it had to go back.

You are right what you say about the Juna style - it is only 2 hooks, and does seem quite narrow compared to the rest of the bra - my squish (such a lovely why to put it) just sort of hangs there, there is not enough band to cover it. The GG only just fits - as in there is a bit of gape in my smaller boob, so I don't think I could go to an H.

I may look at the others you suggested. I still mourn the Andorra, it was just lovely on me, and although I had a tiny bit of under arm fat, it was minimal.

Grrrr, just when you think you are sorted! I have spent a FORTUNE on bras lately............. what a waste most of them have been.

Curvy Kate bra bands are quite wide, may be worth a shot... Probably need to start with a GG or H though.

Thanks - any suggestions on what CK would suit? I have more 'volume' at the bottom of my boobs, not top (so a bit saggy at 41 years old 2 kids later kinda thing)......

Hmm. Most of the styles I've tried seem quite good at coping with softer, bottom heavy my boobs. The Tease Me was pretty comfy IIRC, I'd probably avoid deep plunges though.
