AIBU?

to think that I'm just not clothes-shaped?

I'm too afraid to post in Style and Beauty, as I have neither!

Every pair of jeans I have hurt my tum and end up falling down all the time. I can never, ever find anything in any shop that actually fits. Even tights hurt my 'waist'.

I'm 5ft 5"
Weigh 74kg
Around biggest part of boobs is 38"
Under boobs is 36"
'Waist' is 39"
Hips is 43"

Aibu to give up and wear big smocks with nothing underneath??

I was just about to answer that I'm just not jeans shape.

Wear leggings,that's my solution.

My legs are far too fat for leggings, unfortunately.

I can beat that for stupidly shaped.

Same height and weight as you but
boobs 43
under boobs 32
waist 32
hips 32

if I lose any weight my hips are smaller than my waist. Try getting anything to fit that.

I'm not jeans/trouser shaped.

They just don't fit.

Jersey dresses are my friends!!

Maybe try and do a little exercise to tone up

Not meant to be mean, but you might feel more positive, try stretch leggings plus tunic

my legs are too fat for leggings too, but i wear them .... with dress tunic things - close enough to your approach ..

I am basically spherical with legs. I'd blame the easter eggs but its years of
neglect special treatment.

I look awful in jersey dresses, all though I love them on other people. I've started going to the gym to try to fit into anything comfortably. Basically I look heavily pregnant in everything. Back ache too!

I'm the opposite; waists are always way too big. By the time I've found the size to suit my massive arse celebrity derriere, trousers are hanging off at the waist. I am so fed up with constant safety pins!

Typo, I meant although, not all though!

There was a time I never thought I'd say this, but elastic is my friend!

I'm an 'apple' or more like a mango... with a pear stuck on.

No one is clothes shape, people are just lucky.

I would certainly keep trying different style on. The GAP 'curvy' range are a god send to my sister (classic pear - or avocado) but just not for me at all.

I wish brace were back in fashion sometimes. Even though they look shit.

Best thing I ever did was buy a sewing machine and teach myself how to adjust my off the peg clothes (after a LOT of pin pricks and one incident of actually sewing myself into my outfit - which wasn't nice) and mostly things that don't exist, now do. Jeans are a particular bugger... elastic is AWESOME, and a self made kind of bastardised bra strap give just enough lift to keep my jeans in place. (and honestly does not look silly... until I get undressed, but then so do many a spanks combo).

Do not despair.

I've NEVER been a clothes person. Not when I was a size 10, not when I was a size 20, not when it comes to jeans I can afford, and not when I was at my most toned either. Though it's always good to be in the best shape you can be, sometimes your best shape is never going to be the best for clothes. Some peopl only get a tailored fit when they actually tailor the fit!

I know what you mean about elastic, but where do you find decent elasticated trousers? The only thing I'm comfortable in is a pair of size 16 tracksuit bottoms - yuck!

I'm sat on the sofa wearing nothing but a blanket. Everything else hurts.

Try some gentle yoga. Over time you get a lovely shape (yours but better) and it's certainly a nicer and more feminie shape than an muscle building stodgy exercises you could do... yoga elongates muscle rather than 'builds'... very good for us women.

Also it helps your core muscles support your spine.

I have scholosis (royalty me, think Richard III) but yoga works on both my day to day comfort AND my odd clothing rejecting natural shape.

I would like to redesignate the shape names actually - I am a bit apple, a bit pear (apples and pears). I'd rather be a pineapple and coconut, tbh. At least it sounds better!

You don't find, you pimp your off the peg stuff.

Make your clothes fit you, not t'other way round.

And I am SHIT actual seamstressnessy stuff.. totally incorrect in everything I do, but I'm getting better!

Or can I be a mojito instead?! At least then I wouldn't care!

Know what you mean. I am not "clothes-shaped" but then again I am not size zero etc. I'm afraid once you are a bit curvy but have a large waist, it is harder to look conventionally good in clothes. I think you really have to find your own style. It is frustrating though, and it does take more effort.

I don't know my measurements, just know that I am a weird shape since having DD. She's only 5 months so guess I'm still adjusting. I hate not knowing what clothes size I am any more. And I'm slim but still look pregnant, not just a bit flabby but pregnant. So clothes look shit on me too.

I live in dresses. If it's winter I wear leggings underneath. Dresses hide a multitude of sins and there are enough different styles that at least one will look good.

I had to resort to Moda by Asda elasticated waist jeans.
