as the latest figures show that his plan isn't working. Growth shrunk by 0/3% in the last 1/4 of 2012. Not good.

Who would you put in the role instead?

Someone with more than 1 brain cell and a calculator.

Agreed. I think anyone could do a better job to be honest.

They all need to. They are taking us back to the dark ages.

I'd recommend someone who'd at least read economics at Uni, rather then history...

The man is completely incompetent. He's introduced a range of unfair, unworkable, costly policies. His latest wheeze is to re-inflate the housing bubble. Of course this will be of no benefit to anyone, apart from his wealthy property portfolio owning mates Hmm He needs to go now, along with the rest of this government. I really can't hold on until 2015.

I think he should take the Japanese way out after humiliation. Smile

No, YANBU, I think George Osbourne should take a long walk off a short cliff eat shit go fuck himself resign at once. He has NO thought for the normal people of this country who are being driven to dispair while he and his rich chums wank each other off are sitting pretty.

George Osbourne did history history at university.

If I went for a finance/economics job with only experience in history and towel folding I wouldn't get it.

So yes he should go.

What's the alternative? The last lot were taking us down the same path as Greece and Cyprus, and look where that led them to.

Yes he should go, but it won't happen because he and Cameron have Pinky & Perky status ie they come as a package. Cameron can't get rid of him or 'shuffle' him because it would be akin to Cameron saying that he himself had been talking shite on the economy since taking office.

And yes to someone who has at least read economics or maths or sumfink at Uni before going straight into politics (isn't it mad that it is not compulsory to have had a job in the real world before starting the climb up the greasy Westminster pole?).

I'd shove Vince Cable in there for now then rethink the strategy of 'wouldn't it be jolly to have one's dining club friend next door' Hmm.

Whatever "the last lot" did or didnt do doesnt justify the attack on the most vulnerable in society while the rich get richer.

Report
Dawndonna · 27/03/2013 13:51

I too would go for Cable for now.

YANBU - were his dickensien throwback policies not so scary it would be laughable.

Cable isn't much better but quite frankly anyone would be.

..he should resign! He's got it badly wrong and the wrong people are paying the price for his incompetent gamble.
