AIBU?

AIBU about dp's brother staying?

We live 3 hours away from dp's family. Dp started his own business last year and his brother has asked if he could come and stay with us for a few weeks so he can help dp with the business. Dp really wants this, not just for the business but as we do not see his family as often.
I have absolutely no problem with him coming to stay, however...we have 3 bedrooms us in 1, dd1 in the smallest with a cabin bed (not fit for adults), dd2+3 in other room in bunk beds. No room to put a spare bed at all. Dp wants his brother to stay on the couch in the sitting room and i've said no, he can sort something else out but there is no way he can stay on the settee as
a) we (dc and i) get up at 6:30 and they make a lot of noise
b) i'd have to get dressed etc before i went downstairs
c) he might take himself off to one of the dc's beds when we get up which would mean me changing sheets everyday (i'm weird about using other peoples bedding)
d) he drinks every night and last time he stayed he used our garden as a toilet.

and i'm sure there are other reasons but i cant think atm. Dp thinks i'm being unreasonable, i've said if he can find a way to change rooms around (and him do it) so accomodate him then thats fine but he is NOT staying on the settee. AIBU?

YANBU, a few days may not be a problem but a few weeks?! Particularly given points c and d...

YANBU that's way too long to be sleeping on the settee. A few days disruption is one thing, a few weeks is another.

Is your DH paying him for helping with the business?

Yeah he will be paying him, but it is only a few hours a week (its gardening so it is very much hit and miss with the weather etc which makes it hard to employ someone)

Tent in the garden? A nice one of course. Then he can pee au naturel as much as he likes.

For that length of time, I don't think you are being unreasonable. Is it going to be feasible to change the rooms around?

Well it will mean dd1 and 2 sharing the cabin bed and dd3 sleeping in our room (either put her toddler bed back up (not sure it will fit) or in our bed)
Don't think a tent will work with this weather, its snowing as i type lol.

I've just bidded on a property just up the road and it has a dining room, so if we get that it will be perfect, but not holding my breath. (we've been wanting to move, i didnt bid just for him lol)
