to find the term "frape" offensive?

I know this isn't exactly a new term.

But a friend of mine had a status on Facebook announcing a pregnancy. Lots of people commenting saying congratulations, when your due date etc.

She then put another status up saying - Sorry guys I got fraped.

Lots of people saying how funny it was.

Maybe I have no sense of humour but I just don't like the term "frape" and how acceptable people seem to find it.

YANBU - it is very unpleasant, and you would NBU to reply to every post of it with "actually I don't find it funny to compare someone posting on Facebook without your permission to rape".

(you will get accused of being terribly boring and literal, but it's still not unreasonable)

Yes fair point Rue, I suppose a younger person may not give too much thought about it, it is probably just part of their "computer language" these days, but an older person should be more aware of the way it could be received by others.
Bottom line, it is offensive whoever uses it.

When someone goes onto your Facebook account without your knowledge and writes a "funny" status.
