Nobody tried to murder you (unless there is a massive backstory here.) But some nasty fuckwit vandalised your car. It must have been a shock when you realised. Report it.

Er, yes you are just a tiny bit.

If they wanted to kill you they'd cut your brakes. Or put a car bomb in. Or petrol bomb your house. A flat tyre never killed anyone.

Ok relief

Have you told police? It's criminal damage and v dangerous.

Is there a back story? If not I think you may be over thinking the situation.

Flat tires can, indeed, kill someone. Mostly if they "blow" though.

However, I don't think the vandal's intention was to murder.

This is my genuine username btw.

Hope you're okay - really horrible for you. Others are right though, unless there is a back story it will just be bad luck some idiot picked on your vehicle.

There is a bit of a back story, get in touch with the HA and the police! They probably did not mean to murder you but that could have been the result.

Report
Sirzy · 09/02/2013 20:08

Surely if they had been slashed they would be completly flat? How did you not notice sooner?

Have you reported it to the police?

Actually, I feel the same. Maybe not as extreme as 'tried' to murder you, but somebody deliberately caused damge to your car that they knew was life threateningly dangerous. The same thing happned to my car last week, and my feelings were mainly what kind of a cunt does that to a car with 3 baby seats in the back. The cost of repair didn't matter a shit, it was the sense of evil behind what they did. YANBU in my opinion OP.

Ooh her Mother was a heroin addict and targetted me and my.disabled child to make herself feel better. I had flat tyres, stolen mail, rubbish thrown on my garden car scratches, her dog pooed on my garden, anon calls about me to social services etc

Then it stopped, found out dhe died. Now her Daughrer lives next door, thought she was.ok,.helped her when somebody xalled social services about her.filthy.home. Was not me I had not been in that house for five years and.not my style anyway. No vandalism since ladt March or harrassment because Mother dead abd now I.know it is her Daughter.

No trouble with anybody else, lived hete three years before tbey moved in no.problems.

Report to police and if you suspect you know who did it report them?

People slash and cut tyres a lot more often than you'd think.

How can you drive for four miles and not notice you have a flat tyre? The car doesn't handle right and it makes a heck of a noise!

Report
SoleSource · 09/02/2013 20:18

I did

This bloke received 150 hours of community service for his 23 counts of attempted murder:

www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/news/1774819.tyre_slasher_will_not_have_to_pay_damages/

The law clearly does not view tyre slashing as an attempt to kill or even particularly dangerous. It's a nuisance crime more than anything else, causing considerable cost and inconvenience to the victim, it's not an attempt to physically harm anyone.

We had eggs thrown on our car once, no one else's. The car wash staff had an awful time cleaning the remnants off because it was the middle of summer and I didn't get out to the car until about midday. Fairly sure it was one of the neighbour's who had been drunk the night before. I didn't approach him because I had heard him being loud and violent when he wasn't drunk and he knew my DH was away. He moved out ( well was chucked out by his housemate) soon after anyway.

Some people are just nutters.
