Due to skintness and DH now out of a job I have upped my hours.

I. Am. Knackered.

I know I am U but I like having 3 days off a week. I am simply too lazy and too feeble to work hard.

<<stamps poor tired feet childishly>>

TaggieCampbellBlack Sat 09-Feb-13 17:54:52

I am also a little tetchy so may swear at people who reply wrongly.

TaggieCampbellBlack Sat 09-Feb-13 17:57:25

I am not U as nobody cares. Humph.

RandomMess Sat 09-Feb-13 17:57:41

Is DH doing all the house stuff? Or are you doing as much as before?

catgirl1976 Sat 09-Feb-13 17:58:02

Have you bought a lottery ticket?

AgentZigzag Sat 09-Feb-13 17:58:41

How's your DH at handling not having a job?

Does he take the lions share of jobs round the house?

What's the chances of him getting something else soon?

I don't often hand them out, but you sound like you could do with one wine

CabbageLeaves Sat 09-Feb-13 17:59:05

In view of your 2nd post I have to say you're being damn reasonable about this and should probably get a new year gong for your sacrifices

I recommend ditching the whole job immediately for your sanity and just hoping for finances to right themselves

Life's too short and all that.... wink

Ambi Sat 09-Feb-13 17:59:33

I felt the same when DH was made redundant and I had to go full time. You have my sympathies. thanks

AgentZigzag Sat 09-Feb-13 17:59:48

Ooh, good idea catgirl, I've not done the lottery in ages.

If I win big I'll let you have a cut grin

TaggieCampbellBlack Sat 09-Feb-13 18:00:29

I didn't do housework or cooking before.

<<see - lazy and feeble>>

No lottery ticket today. Didn't win last week.

TaggieCampbellBlack Sat 09-Feb-13 18:01:58

Cabbage - that sounds like a plan.

And I shall have wine

thanks you fuckers.

TaggieCampbellBlack Sat 09-Feb-13 18:06:33

And what is the flaming point of having a househusband if he doesn't put the blasted wine in the fridge until half past 5?

catgirl1976 Sat 09-Feb-13 18:07:19

Ooh thanks AgentZigZag

I haven't got a ticket but I don't want to work ft either

If I LTBd who would cook for me?

MrsRajeshKoothrappali Sat 09-Feb-13 19:03:58

I had to do that when DP was made redundant.

Fecking hard when you're not used to it.

Here: brew

TaggieCampbellBlack Sat 09-Feb-13 19:17:43

I did have a particularly lovely morning today. So don't know why i'm whinging so much.

V tired though.

McNewPants2013 Sat 09-Feb-13 19:21:26

It will take time to adjust need to train him better to have the wine in the fridge smile

pointythings Sat 09-Feb-13 19:25:40

I've always worked f/t, but I still say YANBU. It's tough, and it will take you months to adjust. Be kind to yourself and give yourself time.

And the thing with the wine is Not On.

ilovesooty Sat 09-Feb-13 19:26:06

Seriously - you didn't do any housework or cooking when you worked for 2 days a week?

SauvignonBlanche Sat 09-Feb-13 19:36:59

TaggieCampbellBlack Sat 09-Feb-13 19:38:19

I worked 4 days a week. As did DH. Now up to 5.

But no. No housework or cooking. I'm not cut out for domesticity.

SauvignonBlanche Sat 09-Feb-13 19:45:32

It's very overrated, in fact one of the reasons I went back full time. grin

ilovesooty Sat 09-Feb-13 19:55:48

Oh, I see - I forgot about the 2 days at the weekend. I expect you did the other things round the house, like the DIY and gardening then.

TaggieCampbellBlack Sat 09-Feb-13 19:57:56

Not really no.

I make cakes. And hoover. And fo the dishwasher. And most exhausting and difficult I get DD2 to school.
