Liz love, don't you realise that people are laughing at you, find you very sad, bitter and twisted.

She needs help, doesn't she? Poor thing.

Older mums have children not because they love babies ? if that were the case they would have taken the plunge in their early 20s

What a ridiculous statement.

As if you could just pick one up while shopping....

I happened to meet the man who I wanted to have children with in my 30's.

And certainly wasn't ready in my early 20's the horror!

(that I ended up a LP is neither here nor there).

ugh this article is foul, no other words for it. I really hope she just writes these kinds of articles just to get a reaction, because if that's really her view, that's just really sad.

YANBU.

But there's already an AIBU thread on this.

politically opposed to being stirred up and manipulated by outrageous articles in the Daily Mail

The paper wants me to be angry. So I'm not because I don't care... I win!

She's a silly woman, unfortunately. I used to cringe when I read about her dithering on whether to adopt an Indian baby with her husband (who was cheating on her repeatedly and eventually fucked off). She spent months doing ridiculous wailing about 'what if it is sick on my cashmere cardigans? I don't know if I could cope' and it was clear that she saw a baby as some sort of 'designer accessory' that she could buy from somewhere.

Now she spends her time writing scathingly about mothers as though they are all selfish and evil - conveniently forgetting the time she was on again/off again about 'adopting a baby'.

What a bizarre article? Op-Ed? Blog? Is this the usual standard of journalism in the Daily Mail?

I'm really struggling to find any words. As a SAHM in my mid-twenties, nothing she wrote actually applies to me & yet I feel offended on behalf of slightly older mothers everywhere. I don't see why I should make a better mother now than I would do in 5 years! Also, confused. I feel very confused by that whole jumble of thoughts. Why would anyone see fit to publish that?! Confused

Oh she does realise, I think. That's the trade off she has made: she knows she has screwed up all of her human relationships so she is trying to capitalise on the fact that her misery and misanthropy are so lucrative. Because she is never going to find true happiness. So she may as well...

What a sad lady. I pity her.

She's utterly awful. But then, this woman NEVER has a decent word to say does she? My mum buys the DM and I glance from time to time. Liza Jones strikes me as someone riddled with self pity and is just terribly .... Sour. Yes, sour about life, other people, older mums, her ex, her own mum, life...

Liz....LIZ. And is that her job? Moaning and bitching, endlessly about EVERYTHING? No wonder she's as she is.

I doubt she cares, the point is to get readers to the paper, which she obviously succeeds in.

She is a professional troll.

However, I am bemused at the way that she assumes that all women who've borne children have husbands that are playing away. As far as I can see, she has great difficulty in holding on to any man. She is a man repeller. Hardly surprising. I bet that shagging La Liz would be akin to shagging a flatpack kitchen unit, in terms of personality and physically.

HA! "I have a friend" Actually Liz, you do NOT have any friends as you keep moaning about every week in your bitchy column about your imaginary bf.

She does, presumably. And she knows how much angry traffic she will get because of it and how much kerfuffle/extra press/extra publicity, and thereby get more advertising revenue for her employer, and thereby get more money.

Absy · 29/01/2013 09:48

I agree with Bups though, on her being a professional troll and her likeness to flat pack furniture.

She's paid to be Mad. I reckon she's actually a fluffy hug addict who has sold her soul to the devil for cash and notoriety.

Bless her.

The DM seem to specialise in dreadful women journalists. Somebody has shared an article there today by Liz Hodgkinson. Must be wonderful to be her children.

And as for liz jones, it's not news that she is as mad as a van full of badgers.
