Look at the last 39 threads and ask yourself is this normal or are people a bit silly?

AgentZigzag Sat 26-Jan-13 21:29:03

'Are people really that daft?'

Not only do they want to chat, but they can be lonely, insecure, scared, isolated, excluded, living a lie, being abused etc etc etc.

The best thing about MN for me is that it takes my mind of the huge shit I've got going on elsewhere, it's a bit of escapism. Of course it's not very nice in a way using other people's problems to obscure my own, but I try to give something back to balance it out a bit.

Does this spell the end of the road for your MN days?

Maybe it's a bit like Neighbours/EEs and you can only watch them for so long before getting fucked off by the storyline recycling?

I started a thread which in hindsight was a stupid question and I admitted I was being unreasonable and I was wrong after replies explaining and saying I was unreasonable.

I still got called a twat! Only on mumsnet but I do love the randomness of it all I came from the dark side with fluffiness and tickers which was worse

I think my question has been answered. A site I have been around for a long time proving no use or giving any humour whatsoever.

My favourite threads are the ones by people saying they can't cope with the housework/do the homework/cooking et al. But they spend about 5 hours a day on MN typing crap.

habbibu Sat 26-Jan-13 21:42:25

Well, are you being useful or funny? Genuine question. btw, if anyone wants to be useful, I;ve got an employment law question on the go...

amillionyears Sat 26-Jan-13 21:42:53

Do you know all the answers op?

LadyBeagleEyes Sat 26-Jan-13 21:43:17

Stat an interesting thread then Op, go on.

Sparklingbrook Sat 26-Jan-13 21:45:16

Time to go then hf? If it's not amusing you any more. What do you want to talk about? Or maybe start a few threads that you think are a bit more high brow?

tethersend Sat 26-Jan-13 21:45:23

Pull my finger.

<lightens mood>

AgentZigzag Sat 26-Jan-13 21:46:59

But if you're favorite threads are 'how do I do the housework/cooking', what makes them not daft?

They're the same as the ones you listed as being posted by stupid uneducated people.

It does come across as a bit superior telling posters you think they're stupid and uneducated, are you not then?

habbibu Sat 26-Jan-13 21:48:16

Sheless piggybacking on a thread - but I neeeeeeed help.

AgentZigzag Sat 26-Jan-13 21:48:27

Ewwww, y'dirty uneducated fucker tethers <wafts it in OPs general direction>

habbibu Sat 26-Jan-13 21:48:35

Sheless? Bugger. Shameless.

amillionyears Sat 26-Jan-13 21:49:41

I think you are ready to graduate from MN.

AgentZigzag Sat 26-Jan-13 21:50:02

Tethers shock grin

HecateWhoopass Sat 26-Jan-13 21:52:09

I think it's fine.
You can find people talking about everything under the sun, by having a wander round the many, many topics.

I've found some amazing philosophical and theological debates, feminist discussions that have really educated me, fascinating insights into people's relationships, etc, etc.

I don't know what you're doing wrong to be unable to find any of that.

Do you just stick to aibu and chat?

habbibu Sat 26-Jan-13 21:53:26

Oh, just bump it, Zigzag - make it look busy and interesting...

AgentZigzag Sat 26-Jan-13 21:53:54

What will she graduate with amillion?

BSc in Hoiking with Covert Passive Aggression?

PoppyWearer Sat 26-Jan-13 21:54:56

I am unashamedly educated, daft and completely lacking in common sense.

MN feels like home. <snuggles in>

Blimey tethers, what have you been eating?

BumpingFuglies Sat 26-Jan-13 21:55:01

Now then Agent be nice.

CaptainNancy Sat 26-Jan-13 21:55:14

Habbibu! Lovely to see you! smile

I am envy of OneHundredSecondsOfSolitude.... oh for that many <<sigh>>

tethersend Sat 26-Jan-13 21:55:24

I know, Agent. It smells worse than France.

habbibu, I have posted on your thread with a meaningless collection of words which may or may not bear a passing resemblance to fact.

No need to thank me.
