... Well, not really.

But it WAS supposed to stop snowing.

And it has just kept right on snowing. Angry

... And funny how I managed in to work from an area known for its harsher conditions ...

Ignore me. I'm suffering from weather ennui.

At one point we were predicted snow all week. This evening we had some sleet and my son is pissed off as he has school tomorrow.

c'est la vie!

We have only had a little bit so I feel your pain.

On a side note I hate the fact that I become a complete drip when having to drive and park in the snow. It's so embarrassing to become such a wreck over snow

it is supposed to be snowing. it is not. i m hoping that means school will not close tomorrow.

I love the snow on the grass, just not on the side road that has turned to ice. one asd child, one hypermobile child and one fat waddling mummy combined with ice, is not a good combination.

Oh I quite like the excitement of snow driving.

But I just hate shitey forecasts.

I blame Carol Kirkwood.

The law should be only snow on grass.

I can't get over how shaky I get with the anxiety of driving in snow, I'm like a little Briton character!

Mind boggles at driving in snow excitement!

YADNBU!

You're not the only one! DP dropped me off at work this morning because he had a day off to revise and I didn't want to drive in (bad knees which hurt, driving doesn't help!) We were expecting a bit of light sleet this afterrnoon for an hour.

Due to finish around half three/four, I get a frantic call from DP saying it's started snowing heavily where we live (15mins drive from work) at around twenty past three. I ask him to leave ASAP as I think I'll be let off earlier anyway.
He gets to me as it starts snowing in Lewes, where I work, at 4ish. Traffic as a bit funny on the way but fine. We pop to Tesco for five bloody minutes and then head home and come from wet roads but otherwise fine on the A27 to our sliproad which is covered in snow.

We joined the top of the 2 mile road to our home at 16:14. It was slippy and icy from the start so everybody was driving carefully. A couple of hills which people were having to take risks on but nothing too serious. Lots of traffic from which we later find out is from a RTA another couple of miles beyond our turn off. We didn't get to the end of this road until 18:25.

Over two hours, stuck in a fucking Astra, in heavy snow and on a dangerous bloody road which was getting worse by the minute, watching minor accidents occur up ahead of us, then watching the road get closed to any new traffic, and also being on the radio traffic updates (I was in the middle of a panic attack when Heart called me after I text about traffic on the road, I sounded ridiculous and didn't realise that he was calling to put me on the radio!) and yeah, awful drive home, DP has an exam tomorrow morning and is feeling shit about it and I am dreading going into work tomorrow because of the roads!
