AIBU To 'police' my DD's FB friends

An adult family member keeps asking her to add her partner as a friend on FB. DD is 12 and I keep a close eye on the FB and who her friends are. This was the condition we came to when I allowed her to have a FB page so young. I don't mind school friends chatting but I don't really know this man and I don't want her connecting to any adult this way. I just think that it gives the wrong message to her about what is acceptable on line in terms of communicating with others, especially little known adults. I have deleted some of her friends because of some of the posts they have put on, anything too sexual and the person is 'unfriended'. Ii don't mind her having the account but I do think that she needs to learn what is safe on line and what is not before she can make these judgements for herself.

I'm doing the same thing here, some f her "friends" have to much time to themselves and some of their posts freak me out!

Thank you, it is nice to know I am not the control freak she thinks I am!

Maybe if all parents were a little more vigilant we would not have to worry quite as much

Im 22 and my nanna saw a status i put about cigs. I got a phone call and a lecture from her because of it grin

My aunt took me off as I apparently swore too much and she didn't want her kids reading it. She has one my age and one who is 16

As a parent - I dont want any children - not even my own on MY FB - all the drivel teenagers comeout with would clutter up my wall grin ergo I don't understand why any adult would want 'random' teenagers on their FB.

And I agree- I don't want anyone underage on my FB. They have no needs to see my pics or the thingsy friends post & tag me in. Yes it's a little rude but we are all adults having a laugh I don't want to worry about children seeing it

He's a weirdo to be do desperate to have her add him!
