to be so pissed off with sky...

Broadband.

Had sky installed last week. Also had BB put in. Activation date and ready to use date is today. So we start paying for it from when sky was installed. A WEEK before activation date. Try it today, not working. So I phone them.. It could take up to 8pm tonight or a few more days.

Ok, I might of politely put phone down on her and slammed phone lost phone connection with the sky technician. But aibu to be pissed off that they gave a date it MIGHT work. Not a date it will work. And to be paying for it when its not even on!

im in a bad mood today

You wont be paying for it before it is working. They will adjust the bill.

This happened to us with Talk Talk, with our internet and phone.

They messed us around for three months by
-not turning up to install
-giving us two separate routers that didn't work
-took 3 weeks to get our internet connected

We POLITELY rang them and told them that we want the router taking away as we were moving to Sky as they had messed us around. Two days later everything was working and they waived the first two months' bills.

No company wants to lose business. Just threaten to go elsewhere. Ring another provider, tell them what is happening and see if they can offer you a deal to switch to them. Quote this to Sky and see what happens.
