' to whomever is responsible for the frankly gigantic turds that are blocking the toilet daily .

I am not a toilet attendant . Please poo responsibly .

Regards ,

Plomino. '

I have 4 DS's between the age of 6 and 17, a DD of 7 , and a DH who is old enough to know better . I am sick of being up to my Marigolds in other people's crap . It now remains to be seen whether it proves to be effective .

whoops paper from the roll...and I do agree on getting toilet checked

trapclap Wed 02-Jan-13 07:19:51

And 'boy poo' is no more likely to block the toilet than 'girl poo' hmm

Similarly, boys are as capable of flushing as girls

trapclap Wed 02-Jan-13 07:17:42

Van I draw your attention to mintyys posts...if your toilet is regularly blocked, then there is something wrong with your system

MammaTJ Wed 02-Jan-13 07:07:31

I can tell the difference between my DCs poos. DD does formed but girly sized ones. DS although he is 6 has never done a solid poo in his life. I would not recognise my DPs poos if you rubbed my nose in them as he is housetrained enough to flush every time.

This was on our toilet wall when I was growing up...I think mum might have made it up

If you pee and miss the bowl
Then use some paper from the bowl

If you crap and leave it there
I have advice for you my dear

I've done my time of wiping crap
when you were wee and in a nap

Flush it, flush it, once again
until the turd has gone my friend

If I come in and its still there
The wrath of mum you'll have to bear

My DSS1 regularly blocks the loo. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the loo - but the combination of his voluminous production and the massive quantities of loo roll he uses, plus failure to flush properly, blocks the loo.

I have had strong words with him and with DP. It seems to be happening less often.

Thee are 4 boys in my house and our toilets have never been blocked- I'd get it checked!

GlitterySparklyBaublesOfDoom Wed 02-Jan-13 03:19:13

Oh dear! DS went through a stage a good few years back of never flushing the loo and we found out that he'd been told at school that it was a waste of water to flush every time. Shame they didn't differentiate between poos and wees though! A wee left overnight is very different to a great big poo left marinating for 8 hours shock I dread to think what state the school toilets were in!

We used to have a phantom elephant pooer in the ladies loos at work. They were enormous and would never flush! The maintenance bloke used to have a special 'poo stick' (although I hope it was a new one every time) to erm deal with them so they would flush away. We never found out who it was.

It won't help - but taking the note down again will remove the paint from your wall been there, done that.

bootsycollins Wed 02-Jan-13 02:45:29

Yuletide logs eh?

beautyfades Wed 02-Jan-13 02:36:17

eee sorry but i would just say, whatever DIRTY person keeps leaiving big loggs in the loo needs to STOP!! we all all have big poos at times but dont leave them on display!!

ravenAK Sun 23-Dec-12 22:37:06

I have a notice saying 'If there is a log, you must flush the bog'.

Even dd2 (4) can read & understand that. Dh, not so much.

Plomino Sun 23-Dec-12 22:31:11

3littlefrogs , thanks! Will try . I don't know if there's an actual problem with the loo , or just the culprit that can't be arsed . Am currently trying to save up to have the whole lot redone , as its the only part of the house that hasn't been rebuilt / replaced / rewired due to the idiot that did the fittings , so maybe the problem might cease. Only thing I can think other than that is maybe waste pipe outside is blocked somehow .

Ds1 has mentioned the note . Don't believe he's the suspect, he's hardly been here all week due to work . Will be casually examining the others' faces for guilty smirks though .

3littlefrogs Sun 23-Dec-12 22:21:48

Chuck a scoop of biological washing powder in, close the lid, leave it for about 20 minutes then flush.

If it is just a log of poo, that will do the trick.

Could there be something blocking the loo that you can't see, that is stopping the poo going down?

MaryChristmaZEverybody Sun 23-Dec-12 22:16:12

Or maybe [farf]?

AgentZigzagHasABigYuleLog Sun 23-Dec-12 22:13:12

This thread reminded me of an old MN Christmas name I had packed away under the stairs grin

MaryChristmaZEverybody Sun 23-Dec-12 21:58:39

I have a friend who is married with three teenage sons.

She has two loos in her house, and has banned them all from using one of them. She has her own private loo envy - and she also doesn't clean theirs, they have to sort it out.

As an aside, what is it about teenage boys that makes them think it's ok to not flush the fucking loo at all confused? The smell of teenage boy wee is pretty bleurgh when it's been there for hours.

Enfyshedd Sun 23-Dec-12 21:47:29

DSS2 (6) is a master at producing unflushable logs. I'm nervous every time I'm the next person in the loo after him... blush

whatsforyou Sun 23-Dec-12 21:34:41

My poor aunt has three teenage boys and their latest is to take photos of any spectacular efforts and post them on facebook. They can do that but they can't work a toilet brush wink

PaulInHolland Sun 23-Dec-12 21:30:17

In my old office, someone took a photo of one of the men's loos with uncleaned skid marks in the bowl and e-mailed it to everyone on the floor and asked them to clean-up after themselves next time.

Plomino Sun 23-Dec-12 20:59:58

Oh yes ! Have seen that one . The one at work also had the ' do not stand on the loo seat to pee ' on the door in the ladies too .

mynameisholly Sun 23-Dec-12 20:58:26

I had to put a message in the staff loos at work 'please use the sanitary bin provided and do not dispose of sanitary items in the bin' grim is not the word.

VelvetSpoon Sun 23-Dec-12 20:55:27

My DSs flush the loo once sometimes they don't even do that and whatever doesn't go down is then an unpleasant surprise for the next visitor...

I am tempted to put up a sign saying 'FLUSH UNTIL THE BOWL IS CLEAN AND CLEAR'

I also need one about using the toilet brush.

Boys... hmm

EverythingsDozy Sun 23-Dec-12 20:47:21

I thought this was about work, that would have been amazingly funny!
But no, I don't think YABU.

namechanger11111 Sun 23-Dec-12 20:17:52

At least it's not as bad as the public toilet i went in earlier! I lifted the lid and there was a massive poo on the seat that had been squashed by the lid. How i managed not to be sick i don't know.
