' to whomever is responsible for the frankly gigantic turds that are blocking the toilet daily .

FLUSH THE BLOODY LOO! AND DO NOT LEAVE THE ROOM UNTIL IT IS GONE !

I am not a toilet attendant . Please poo responsibly .

Regards ,

Plomino. '

I have 4 DS's between the age of 6 and 17, a DD of 7 , and a DH who is old enough to know better . I am sick of being up to my Marigolds in other people's crap . It now remains to be seen whether it proves to be effective .

Although we are by no means prim and proper, my 8yr old DS would be shocked at the use of the word "bloody" so you may be U!

I would be more inclined to confront them all over the Christmas dinner in front of Auntie Sylvia about the said 'gigantic turds' and embarrass them into compliance.

YANBU - It's even worse when unexpected visitors ask to use the toilet and find an unpleasant surprise lurking.
3DS here, and however hard I try to instil the mantra "If it's yellow, let it mellow, if it's brown, flush it down" they still haven't got the gist.

You need to get a plumber come and have a look at your toilet if it regularly gets blocked.

Not sure how the note would be taken if you had the Vicar round Grin but YANBU.

Could you rotate whose turn it is to unblock it? Doesn't matter who it is, it's not going to fall to you to sort it or which person it is, everyone else will have to share responsibility and get to the bottom of who the culprit is.

Have you any suspicions?

It's not you is it? Wink

Horrible job but I'm not sure I'd want a 6 or 7 yr old messing about with the toilet and poo and for that reason YABU.

YourHandInMyHand · 23/12/2012 20:11

Yuk.

Is it same time of day as well as everyday? Surely not that tricky to work out?

Report
AgentZigzag · 23/12/2012 20:11

Yeah, but Auntie Sylvia would sympathise, knowing how large the logs she fells are Peg Grin

McChristmasPants2012 · 23/12/2012 20:12

I would get someone to look at your toilet, it shouldn't be getting blocked so quickly

It's not me ! That's the only one I can discount . To be entirely fair, I suspect there may be a problem with the waste pipe as was installed by the same builder that cocked up the rest of the house , but not flushing it properly just compounds the issue , if you pardon the pun .

DS1 had just gone in there. I can hear him giggling .

For a long time I had a note reading 'Skid marks? SORT IT!' behind my toilet. That seemed to do the trick. Best of luck.

Can I just say again that its not normal for a toilet to be blocked that often and so no one should be having to tackle the poo.

My 12yo does things that no normal human can pass - it's hellish ....

At least it's not as bad as the public toilet i went in earlier! I lifted the lid and there was a massive poo on the seat that had been squashed by the lid. How i managed not to be sick i don't know.

[disappointed]
I thought this was about work, that would have been amazingly funny!
But no, I don't think YABU.

YANBU.

My DSs flush the loo once sometimes they don't even do that and whatever doesn't go down is then an unpleasant surprise for the next visitor...

I am tempted to put up a sign saying 'FLUSH UNTIL THE BOWL IS CLEAN AND CLEAR'

I also need one about using the toilet brush.

Boys... Hmm

In my old office, someone took a photo of one of the men's loos with uncleaned skid marks in the bowl and e-mailed it to everyone on the floor and asked them to clean-up after themselves next time.

My poor aunt has three teenage boys and their latest is to take photos of any spectacular efforts and post them on facebook. They can do that but they can't work a toilet brush Wink

DSS2 (6) is a master at producing unflushable logs. I'm nervous every time I'm the next person in the loo after him... Blush

I have a friend who is married with three teenage sons.

She has two loos in her house, and has banned them all from using one of them. She has her own private loo Xmas Envy - and she also doesn't clean theirs, they have to sort it out.

As an aside, what is it about teenage boys that makes them think it's ok to not flush the fucking loo at all Confused? The smell of teenage boy wee is pretty bleurgh when it's been there for hours.

Chuck a scoop of biological washing powder in, close the lid, leave it for about 20 minutes then flush.

If it is just a log of poo, that will do the trick.

Could there be something blocking the loo that you can't see, that is stopping the poo going down?
