Very pregnant and do not want to go into labour with dangly bits around my bum hole (which I ended up with in last pregnancy) Will I bleed badly if I do this? Was researching that I need to tie some thread around the tag then snip snip...ooooh scared I'll end up with an inflamed arsehole that looks worse than present, WWYD more than an AIBU

My oh exclaimed "why would you do that " slightly aghast -he also said you tie it off.

Maybe ask the nurse at the drs to do it?

These are piles. Do not cut them. Once you're in labour you wont give them another thought, anyway.

I mean ask the nurse to tie it off.

Cant you ask the doc to deal with this as your next appointment? or just ask about it? Seems like it would be painful, messy as all get out, and potentially interfering with delivery. Imagine if it got infected (it is next to the poop chute) before delivery and you had to deal with that during labor!

No, I wouldn't do it. I'm due in about 3 weeks, and I don't want anything to complicate this!

I had one near my arm, I tied thread around it, t cuts off blood supply and it painlessly drops off. I would assume if you cut it it would get very gory plus massive infection risk down there.

Seriously? Firstly if it bleeds really badly, do you want to present your arse at a and e? Isn't that worse than a skin tag nobody will notice and you will have forgotten about during labour? Secondly, what about the risk of infection, especially as you're pg. Please, please leave it alone!

one struggles to get one's very socks on

I'd rather like that on a T-shirt.

Please don't. Although my head is already full of disturbing images.

go to the GP and ask to get it frozen off. you will bleed like mad if you cut it.

Euphemia just embarrassment really - silly I know as I'm sure they've seen it all. Bending down to it wont be a prob as my bump is fairly small and I'm pretty good at spreading my legs (thats why i'm in this predicament in the first place!)

maddening asking my gp will defeat the point as I'm trying to save my embarrassment

Gonna do it now...... update shortly

Just the thread title made my stomach turn. I doubt it would end well if you did it yourself.

Are you certain they are skin tags and not something else- like genital warts? Skin tags snipped would hurt, but I have heard others on here talk about doing it. The area might be a bit more infection prone though, so if I were you I would ask my GP.

You won't be back, you will be in hospital.

And pregnancy kind of cures embarrassment really!

This is the most horrific thread title I have ever seen.
