Just came on today, went to get my mooncup from its usual storage place, its not there. I've looked everywhere.
....Are you thinking what I'm thinking? Surely it can't be up there?
I'd have died from toxic shock by now wouldn't I?
I'm worried....I've had ....ya know...with a man...
Where else could I have put it?

Erm. If you've dtd then you'd have realised it was there! Where did you have it ddlast? <sniggers>

ElectricMonk Tue 27-Nov-12 19:59:51

Have you checked your saucepans/utensil-storage-place in case you forgot to remove it after sterilising?

ElectricMonk Tue 27-Nov-12 20:00:44

I do know somebody who has lost 2 by flushing one down the loo and throwing one in the bin while on autopilot, so that's another set of possibilities...

HairyGrotter Tue 27-Nov-12 20:03:19

Oh blimey...surely it would smell if it were lodged or forgotten?! I'd say ElectricMonk's suggestions are more feasible

You haven't measured any liquid out when cooking lately have you? Served gravy in any interestingly shaped gravy boats??
Have the kids been playing in the bTh with any new toys recently?
Sorry, I'll go now grin

Phew! No one thinks it might be up there!
I've checked my sterilising mug!
I've checked everywhere if can possibly think of.

I asked DCs is they'd seen "a strange squidgy see thro thingy" and neither seems to have. Unless barbie has borrowed it

Jingleflobba Tue 27-Nov-12 20:08:01

Well, Barbie is more realistic than she used to be!
<awaits Mooncup Barbie in Argos next year>

McChristmasPants2012 Tue 27-Nov-12 20:12:38

McChristmasPants2012 Tue 27-Nov-12 20:13:39

before anyone asks what are they < it tends to go that way>

Flojo1979 Tue 27-Nov-12 20:16:53

Def can't find it I've ransacked the place.
Maybe like someone said I put it in the bin by mistake.
Still worried its migrated tho!

Go to hospital. I was recently utterly humiliated as had mine in during a ct scan, then I had to explain to two male neurologists in their twenties what a moon cup was as it had shown up on the scan.
I have never, ever, been so embarrassed in my life.

But on the plus side, it is medically possible to make sure its not stuck in you without the shame of an internal!

Flojo1979 Tue 27-Nov-12 20:26:31

Oooo good plan! What can I fake to bag myself a CT scan!

Flojo1979 Tue 27-Nov-12 20:27:19

I think I'm going to have to go and do my own internal aren't I and stop being a wimp!

StuntGirl Tue 27-Nov-12 20:29:56

I have yet to use mine but surely you'd know if it was still up there..? confused

Flojo1979 Tue 27-Nov-12 20:31:40

Surely DP would have noticed?!
Maybe I should ask him!

Proudnscary Tue 27-Nov-12 20:32:10

Oh...sad... the thread title made me think it was going to be about the announcement of Mumsnet The Musical: Help, I've Lost My Mooncup!

SofaKing Tue 27-Nov-12 20:33:19

Claim unusual abdominal pain! I'm sure it can't be up there, they are not that comfortable that you wouldn't notice all month!

No toy soldiers have unusual helmets do they? No dolls with space age hats?

I bet you will find it being used as a toy next week!

JesusInTheCabbageVan Tue 27-Nov-12 20:35:21

Sofaking grin

shock Oh, oh... do your DC have show and tell at school? Do you vet what they take in?

MrsHoarder Tue 27-Nov-12 20:35:36

Can't you just have a bath and go fishing once the kids are in need?

Aside from that, could you have put it in your handbag or overnight bag?

hugoagogo Tue 27-Nov-12 20:39:07

I presume you have had a good rummage?

SirBoobAlot Tue 27-Nov-12 20:43:29

You would know if it was up there...

I would have thought.
