Bloody DS, looks after nothing - is always losing things, this time it is his PE kit - the whole thing by the way - the bag i lovingly made before he started reception, new (in Sept) trainers, a bloody tracksuit and shorts and shirt.

I am bloody fuming with him and he is walking around as normal without a care in the bloody world. Nothing bothers him and he is a good, polite kid who is kind to everyone - I just bloody wish he had more of his wits about him.

He is only 8 but I could do without this and the bloody school is next to bloody useless - his form teacher said that it has obviously come home and is somewhere in the house!!!

NO IT IS NOT!!

Sorry Rant over.

deep breath go into the school lost property box and see if it is there. if it isnt then ask the school if you can borrow kit out of the box until his turns up. our school lets us do it and it is a great help to me as well as focussing ds's mind that if he doesnt want to wear a girls pair of shorts he needs to flipping well find his own! at 8 there are other more important things for him to think about (pokemon, ds etc) for persistant lack of care of items i usually confiscate the ds until they are found and they always are.

You don't need to apologise to me MadameCasatfiore - my DS is an expert at losing things too. I feel your fury!
Definitely, go into the school and have a really good rummage - cloakroom area as well as lost property. Ask if you can circulate a note to his classmates if you have no luck.

Well I'd like to say it gets better but dd2 is in year 7 and is always losing things. Last week was the case of the disappearing coat. The only difference is I now let her go and find it, if she doesn't then no coat.....it was found!

Thanks chaps, we did note to all teachers and I have checked lost property and cloakrooms. It's just the fact that he is not at all bothered by the fact that its bloody gone or I am insensed that gets me.

Mind you DH taking me out to lunch whilst we go and buy him new kit so always an upside.

Just got to get the seeing machine out and run up another bag now! Sad as he had it for so long and I had made ones for his pals too!

I think I will stop him playing on Xbox for a while though, maybe that will concentrate his mind.

Oh and don't get me started on coats. Dd coveted a jack wills rain mac and lost it in first week at school. I swear when I catch the shit that stole it I will rip it off of their back and scream that they are a thief!

Feeling a bit better now!
