To think there is no logical explanation for DP wearing kids underwear?

I noticed a pair of boxer shorts on my bedroom floor, picked them up, looked at the label (as I didn't recognise them!) and it said "age 13/14". So I assumed they must belong to DS (who is 13). But then, tucked into a pile of my boyfriend's clothes (he stayed here last night) I saw another pair of boxer shorts, same make and obviously from the same pack - aged 13/14.

What madness is this? why would a grown man wear/buy kids boxers?? He's skinny but 6ft tall. He's actually wearing the same size boxers as my son!!

We don't live together so this is the first time I've noticed this. No explanation really is there?? why would he have bought them? its not as if there is a shortage of mens boxers around! makes no sense!

Kids' sizes are much cheaper.

OverlyWordyHurdyGurdy Sat 24-Nov-12 18:04:42

Cheaper?

PimpMyHippo Sat 24-Nov-12 18:04:54

Children's clothes are cheaper, perhaps? Or maybe he's so skinny that adult ones don't fit properly...

Maybe he hasn't bought any new underwear since the last time his mum buoght him some as a teenager

Interesting first post OP.

FivesAndNorks Sat 24-Nov-12 18:07:03

ha x post, similar ideas with one fundamental difference
Are they grey and a bit frayed

BOFingSanta Sat 24-Nov-12 18:07:08

Why don't you ask him? Or will you look a bit weird for examining his pants?

SpoonyFuckersWife Sat 24-Nov-12 18:07:57

Tax dodger

tisnottheseasonyet Sat 24-Nov-12 18:08:12

If they fit him, he'd frankly be stupid to pay 20% extra at least (ie VAT) on boxers for an "adult" label.

BluelightsAndSirens Sat 24-Nov-12 18:08:13

Maybe he is really good at looking after his clothes?

Nicknamegrief Sat 24-Nov-12 18:08:37

I had a boyfriend who wore girls jeans! That was odd.
Before I had children I used to shop in the children's department for clothes (not underwear) and I always thought I was fat!

AnyFucker Sat 24-Nov-12 18:09:29

Perhaps he has a tiny cock ?

DontmindifIdo Sat 24-Nov-12 18:10:24

I'm rather short with tiny feet. I reguarly buy children's clothes/shoes. It's cheaper. (and as a size 3 feet, I often don't have a choice as lots of shops start their adult sizes at 4 )

DontmindifIdo Sat 24-Nov-12 18:11:05

So YABU - there are lots of logical reasons!

tisnottheseasonyet Sat 24-Nov-12 18:11:12

strumpetpumpkin Sat 24-Nov-12 18:15:52

dunno. Maybe cos they fit him and he liked them?

tisnottheseasonyet Sat 24-Nov-12 18:18:40

Someone needs to say paedophile though, or I suspect the OP will be bitterly disappointed. Any volunteers?

AnyFucker Sat 24-Nov-12 18:19:34

Because it's very hard to buy Bob the Builder pants in an adult size?
