My DD will be 2 in the new year, yet i still seem to be losing hair by the bloody handful. Surely this can't still be the excess of the lovely glossy hair i had during pregnancy (smug).

I have no bald patches yet but every time i touch my hair, bloody strands of the stuff comes out.

When i get in the bath with my dd she comes out looking like a yeti.

Please tell me i'm not the only one, anyone?

What about your lashes, brows and body hair? I have a 2 year old and was suffering the same until recently (thought it was due to "old age", I'm mid 40's!).

A few weeks after I cut wheat/gluten out of my diet for other reasons, I noticed my eye lashes had grown much longer (in the last couple of years they got very short), and my hair stopped coming out in handfuls. Dr Google informed me that diffuse hair loss can be caused by gluten intolerance/ceoliac.
This made me look a bit more closely at arm, leg hair, which looked almost non existent, but has grown back over the last couple of months!

It just seems to be my head hair at the minute. Body hair still growing and not falling out (boooooooo), lashes and brows seem to be fine too.

I'm only 30 but have had a bit of a nightmare year so could be stress related.

So fecking annoying though when ever you pick something up it's got one of my hairs on it, gggggrrrr.

Ha, I just hoovered my room for the first time yesterday (fresher) and had to take the long stem (?) off and do it all by hand, there was so much hair coated on the floor. The carpet's a whole new colour now!

At least you know your cause! I do too but it's less concrete (less extreme than yours really, though going through another phase where I can be fiddling with a strand, look down and have to wipe five or more hairs off the table).
