It's my mum's birthday in a few weeks and I'm skint but I have a £25 Amazon voucher my brother gave me for my birthday a few months ago. WIBU to use it to buy her present?

You can spend your voucher on whatever you want.
Perfectly reasonable idea to me. grin

Seems like a good plan, you might have enough over to get yourself something too!

If you are worried about it ask your brother how he feels about it. You could buy yourself something as well, you don't need to spend it all on her.

I've done this before. I choose to view it that the present I was given is more valuable than an actual thing because it has saved me worry about being able to afford a present for someone else and has meant I haven't had to go without anything I'd usually have.

I use most of my giftcards this way.

I got a £150 amazon voucher from work mates (with a card saying to spoil myself!) when I was made redundant last month.

Its paid for a big chunk of this years Xmas pressies!!
