I've just seen an advert for that twilight film and all the vampires are wearing coats! Why? Surely they don't need to?

DW says vampires can get cold because they retain a sense of touch, but surely because they've died a chilly breeze isn't really a concern anymore?

To answer the OP, if the Twilight vampires didn't wear coats then that would be a slippery slope towards not wearing shirts either, and then you would have a film full of werewolves AND vampires all shirtless in the rain, and glaring moodily over their shoulders at the camera.
