3 year old boys nails is a bit.. Erm strange? Or is it the 'in' thing?

pictish Mon 05-Nov-12 18:23:08

Why strange? Cos he's a boy? Cos he's 3?

I don't see a problem - it's not like it matters is it?

why odd? if they see a parent doing something they want to copy at that age, same with washing up, hoovering etc. That's why most toys for that age group are role play toys

explain what's strange about it

I think YOU are a bit strange OP. Loads of little boys like nail polish.

YABU

Isn't strange or (AFAIK) an 'in' thing

But...but...<clutches pearls>....he might catch...the gayness!!! Eeek!

my youngest used to cosy up on the sofa and shove his feet in my face if I dared to paint my nails and not include him.

Well I'm going to go against the majority on this one and say YANBU OP, to me nail painting is a bit strange on a child of that age regardless of whether they are a boy or girl, I just think its too young! I think if the OP was about painting a girls nails you would have got different responses tbh!

Oh I didn't think about the copying thing. Sorry.

i understand now as my DS used to put my make up on at 2

PickledFanjoCat Mon 05-Nov-12 18:30:23

Not odd at all!

Glances at ds4 (4 years) who has currently got purple toe nails.... He would have had his finger nails done but he cant have nail polish for school so i just did his toe nails along with dd's toe nails (23mths) shrug its just dress up and play.
