Have had a rare child-free Saturday to catch up on marking and have trawled through my old dvd/vhs collection to find something to keep me company.

Oh- he is cute and his films are good, no? Don't know, makes me think I had rather good taste as a student grin.

I had a great dream about him the other night grin.

Sorry but he's mine. I've loved him since I was a wee one. Better off dead is one of the best films ever!

TitWillow Sat 03-Nov-12 18:57:08

For that moment in Say Anything, with the tape machine, I will love him forever!

PseudoBadger Sat 03-Nov-12 18:57:39

I love him.

PseudoBadger Sat 03-Nov-12 18:57:51

But he needs to lose the sister.

BonVoyageCharlieBrown Sat 03-Nov-12 18:59:00

Ha ha, I'd forgotten that bit. Off to get the John Cusack films out grin

IslaValargeone Sat 03-Nov-12 18:59:05

Oh yes, I can imagine him being fabulously dirty, but in a good way.

BonVoyageCharlieBrown Sat 03-Nov-12 19:00:23

He always has his sister in his films and his dad and various other Cusack family members.

Glad it's not just me.

Just opened the wine and forgotten the marking - Being John Malkovitch is a good film, isn't it?

He should not lose he sister - I love Joan too smile

lecce Sat 03-Nov-12 19:03:20

I love the fact that he has family members in his films smile

John Cusack is great. Hell, I'd almost consider turning for him.

SofaKing Sat 03-Nov-12 19:24:15

He terrifies the life out of me. Not sure why, but I can't watch anything with him in it as I find him so creepy!

On the plus side you won't have to fight me for him grin

SuePurblybilt Sat 03-Nov-12 19:26:14

I would ride him like a Nazareth donkey. He is lovely and all mine.
I reckon he'd be a filthy shag <happy sigh>

SorrelForbes Sat 03-Nov-12 19:28:51

I love him too. Grosse Point Blank is a particular favourite of mine!

IslaValargeone Sat 03-Nov-12 19:29:51

grin at ride him like a Nazareth donkey.

Love him, the combo of In your eyes by Peter Gabriel and John Cusack shivering in the car in Say Anything..a life changing film of my teenage years.

I just seemed to be able to relate to him and his friends.
I'll watch anything he's in now but I prefer the older films.

I'd give him a snog at a school reunion anytime <happy sigh>

culturemulcher Sat 03-Nov-12 19:35:17

Okay, back off you lot. He's MINE.

Every time I'm on a plane the final scene of Say Anything still goes through my mind.

Love him.

IslaValargeone Sat 03-Nov-12 19:45:03

Someone on a "slebs you have seen" thread said she saw him at an airport, dressed in black leather chewing a match and looking uber cool. He also let her and her pram board the plane first.
Lucky mare.

lecce Sat 03-Nov-12 19:47:54

But does he provise his own full-lenghth black coat for every film he's in?

loverofwine Sat 03-Nov-12 20:34:24

I married my DH because if I squeezed my eyes together and looked at him in candlelight then he is/was the spitting image of JC. We've been together for 15 yrs and have four kids and I've got Mr Cusack to thank for that.

CombineBananaFister Sat 03-Nov-12 20:38:57

Me too LOVE, love love him. Was pleasantly surprised having not seen him since my teens to see he had aged soo well in Grosse Point Blank. Still doing the talky witty banter thing in a non-annoying woody allen way. Hmmmm
