Yes, it's October. You know. The month before November.

It isn't even Hallowe'en yet.

It is still autumn.

Keep your fecking Christmas threads in the Christmas topic.

<weeps>

You are a crowd of wankers. You just don't care

<sobs>

It's all wrong, I tell ya, wrong.

<and breathe>

Wetthemogwai Tue 30-Oct-12 22:34:50

There's a Xmas tree in our local tesco and Xmas light son a house in the next street. Stick that in your grinchy pipe and smoke it grin they did both raise even my Xmas loving eyebrows but hey ho, only 56 more sleeps!

MaryZcary Tue 30-Oct-12 22:35:11

And no-one even cares.

<sobs more loudly>

Sirzy Tue 30-Oct-12 22:36:01

Only 55 days to go though

MaryZcary Tue 30-Oct-12 22:36:08

x-posted Wetthemogwai.

Though I don't think your post was caring enough

<positively drowns self with hysterical sobbing>

cardibach Tue 30-Oct-12 22:36:51

I'm with you.
Keep Christmas in December!

MaryZcary Tue 30-Oct-12 22:37:01

And Sirzy

<raises eyebrow>

Yes, 55 sleeps. That's a lot, you know. At least another 30 before all you loons should be allowed out of the C-word topic.

MaryZcary Tue 30-Oct-12 22:37:36

<grabs cardibach, and clutches to rather large bosom>

Mintyy Tue 30-Oct-12 22:38:09

Yanbu Mary. I think there's only two of us know how to work mn properly!

hmc Tue 30-Oct-12 22:38:11

Yes YABU, in the nicest possible way - bugger off

And a Merry Christmas wink

MelodyPondering Tue 30-Oct-12 22:39:06

Ooh its nearly Christmas! I love Christmas. Christmas discussions are allowed from...NOW!

grin

IwishIwasmoreorganised Tue 30-Oct-12 22:40:36

I'm supportive of those who want or need to plan well in advance, but like OP says, there is a Christmas topic.

Keep the unseasonal behaviour in there and we'll all be happy!

MaryZcary Tue 30-Oct-12 22:40:51

Three of us Mintyy - Trills is pretty good at it too.

The rest of 'em, well, they really haven't a clue grin

I love Christmas too - in DECEMBER. You know, the month that Christmas happens in?

MaryZcary Tue 30-Oct-12 22:41:41

Do you know, some feckers will have their Christmas names on next week.

They are wishing their lives away. It is so sad sad

Luckyluckyme Tue 30-Oct-12 22:43:06

Yes but in about 26 hours it'll be NOVEMBER. grin

Mwahahahahaaaa

Hassled Tue 30-Oct-12 22:43:24

I believe that someone the other day was asking for help re not feeling Christmassy enough. I just didn't trust myself to click and read.

cardibach Tue 30-Oct-12 22:45:25

<lifts head from MaryZ's bosom>
<gasps>
Yes I love CHristmas too! I'm not Scrooge! But I like it IN DECEMBER.
You're right about the wishing away, too, Mary. I'd like to enjoy bonfires and autumn things first, then move on to mid-winter things! My sister's birthday is exactly 4 weeks before CHristmas - that seems soon enough for thinking about it to me.

Mintyy Tue 30-Oct-12 22:46:13

NO!!! Hassled!!

Greensleeves Tue 30-Oct-12 22:47:06

I am counting the days until bonfire night is over, so that I can listen to carols

which I will do furtively when everyone else is out, until 1st December

then it's wall-to-wall kitsch, glitz and bad-taste sentimentality chez Greensleeves until at least mid-January!

MaryZcary Tue 30-Oct-12 22:51:30

You see I have no problem with Christmas, glitz, glamour, tinsel and brussel sprouts.

In December.

Not November, and certainly not October.

BeyondLimitsOfTheLivingDead Tue 30-Oct-12 22:53:44

MaryZ, help me! DH wants us to put up the tree!

KellyMarieTunstall Tue 30-Oct-12 22:53:58

We have a christmas tree up at work for the past week.

Except its a halloween tree ..apparently hmm

PacificDogwood Tue 30-Oct-12 22:58:09

I am with you too, MaryZ <<joins arms>>

I love Christmas - from 4 Sundays before Christmas Day which is the first Advent Sunday grin. I am not religious, but I love having a nice, real Advent Wreath (my friend makes them) and every Sunday another candle gets lit. That's when Cristmas starts, not a second earlier.

LivingDead, leave the bastard grin!

TuftyFinch Tue 30-Oct-12 22:58:54

Shall we talk about Easter? It's never too early to discuss little baby Jesus.

MaryZcary Tue 30-Oct-12 23:00:48

Beyond, is he the kind of person who then wants to take it down the day after Christmas?

I find all the enthusiastic "let's put it up in August" people always want to "tidy it away" before January 6th, which is just wrong hmm.

I agree with Pacific - leave him. And sorry Kelly, you may have to leave your job.
