Seriously, they are stood there saying if you are not out now, you will not get out!!! I would get the message as much from a safe place, get the fuck in a safe place!!

Just me then?

I thought that, maybe they're paying them danger money!

I have an American friend who just posted that one of said reports inserted uncle, she is pretty angry/worried that he s still there.

Omg - is her uncle, not inserted uncle. What an unfortunate autocorrect!

The reporters seem to have more skills in getting out than your average person! Perhaps they have better vehciles and aren't trying to move lots of stuff too.

Plus, as far as I can tell, it's very exciting for them to stay! And they get their news story broadcast.

One just said on ITN...."this massive storm that will make the sea probably swamp the underground train system <waves his hand towards the water behind him> will hit this spot right here in approx 45 minutes"

Well why the fuck are you still there, fella??!! shock

I know, Why the fuck are they still there?

GhostofMammaTJ Mon 29-Oct-12 22:29:25

Kim, I don't watch scary movies, real life is scary enough for me thanks!!

It's way easier for 200 (healthy, fit, well-equiped) journalists to safety than to get 200,000 people to safety.
Journalists report from war zones/civil unrest/lawlessness etc etc. Take a calculated risk for "the story". This is the same.

Must be getting paid a lot, either that or they are plain stupid!

Tiredmumno1 Mon 29-Oct-12 22:31:30

I was thinking the same, it's pretty scary watching it, those poor people that are there must be petrified, I pray everyone stays safe.

It's the instinct of a journo I think. Running towards danger rather than running away from danger.....
