Have finally got DC1s first appointment with CAMHS this Thursday morning, am as mentally prepared as I can be.

DC2 was up sick in the night last night, and DC1 woke up with a rash on their body and across the cheeks.

Am feeling very conspired against and hoping whatever each of them has clears up very quickly!

(Also means DC1 is missing a Halloween party at Beavers tonight, and the pair of them an after school Halloween party at my friends' house tomorrow - which DC1 is fine about just now as being pacified with playing the DS, but sure will cause a screaming meltdown later when it sinks in!)

Everything always happens at once!! What sort of rash, spotty or in a lacey type pattern? 2 of mine got a rash with no other symptoms and it turned out to be slapped cheek (viral). It looks a bit like a doily pattern..
Good luck with the CAMHS appt x

I'm thinking slapped cheek sounds like a possibility. Am going to phone to make an appointment tomorrow afternoon that I can cancel in the morning if it's not needed.

As far as I can remember it lasted about 4/5 days, slightly raised temp and off their food a little bit. It's contagious as well..

Apparently it's not contagious after the rash comes out. Am going to call surgery and ask if slapped cheek is going around. If so, I'll speak to the school and 1) let them know so they can notify others and 2) ask if they're happy for her to return tomorrow assuming she's well in herself (which she is at the moment)
