To tell DH to stop

explaining pension schemes and annuities in tedious detail to DD(12) even though she appears to be interested and is asking intelligent questions because I KNOW that she is doing this to stop him noticing that it is bedtime.
And it is making my ears bleed.

I would leave them to it.

Can you not go and do something in a different room so you don't have to listen?

It's cold. They are in the room with the woodburning stove.

YABU

If she is that desperate to stay up I'd say she's earned a few more minutes! And it is the weekend Grin

But I'm worried. It's not natural for a 12 year old to be interested in pensions.

I think it's very clever of her to work out how she can get a few minutes extra before bed, without her father catching on. She will do well :)
