No YANBU, I, too, have felt like that recently. Do you have a dog?

Cinema? I always go on my own and it's lovely. It feels like a special little treat just for me. and no one nicks my popcorn

If you live near me, come over. I don't have kids but I do have plenty of interesting pets (lizards/tortoise/cat etc) and I'm bored out of my brain.

Reading doesn't help, bathing doesn't help, cooking things I like is only fun for a few weeks...a month into living here and it's horrible. I miss knowing people :(

Just go a-wandering. I like exploring my local streets, especially at Xmas or Halloween when there's decorations in gardens/windows.

Garden centres are good for a wander round. Don't get sucked into buying loads though!

Oh the thought of going to the cinema or a pub on my own on a Friday night fills me with dread.
Am thinking of just driving to the big Tesco, just to have a wander. Might be enough just to get me out of the house. Need to wait til after rush hour though! I have been in all day and I am feeling sad.
Where do you live CDLM? You sound interesting Smile

I know what you mean, I love living the country and in theory I could just go for a walk.
But when I'm feeling in down I really need a reason to get out and there's no shops to wander to here.

It is a horrid feeling. I have plenty of things I could be doing around the house, or getting some work done, but I feel blue and need some human contact. I have that headache in my eyes that you get from staring at a computer screen for too long.

me too. Would really love to see the new James Bond film, but the thought of going to the cinema on a Friday night alone when it will be 'date' night for so many people would just make me more depressed Sad

yes, that is exactly how I feel Bellie. I just feel so listless. My friends all have babies and partners and families. I just don't know what to do with myself. I am being very whiney and self induldent. Apologies for that. Glad I'm not the only one that feels like this though.

been having a bad week due to this - half term here and I see others with their families all having days out. My friends are fab but it seems that holidays and weekends they are all doing things with their families and they 'forget' that it is just me and the kids.
Ex has the kids this weekend and it is just seeming to be a big long drag till sunday night and then it starts all over again.

I always try and start positive, but by the time I get to about this time on a Friday I feel lonely and bored.

I have too low of a self esteem to go anywhere alone though!

When the new MN local boards get properly under way, there will be meet ups, I think.

I am in Cheshire but have a bf baby that cosleeps so my time out is daytime only :) go swimming? Lots of nice spa places that might do a 1 day membership and can imagine a nice swim, jacuzzi and sauna before grabbing a bottle of wine to catch a film at home with a duvet (so you can fall asleep to the film ) would be lovely.

I am doing that tomorrow morning while dp takes ds to the supermarket to do the weekly shop then we''ll meet for lunch

I go to Nandos on my own, with a book or something when the rare chance comes round. I'd love to go to the cinema on my own too. I've only been without ds3 a handful of times though so the two of us (he's a toddler) have bedew known to go for carvery or for a curry alone.

When I lived on my own I often felt like that on a Friday and sat night, if no plans. I used to stop off at the supermarket or m&s food on the way back from work, get a nice bottle of wine and a nice pizza/ ready meal, sometimes a nice pudding too, and have a lovely night watching a film or just tv. Always cheered me up.

Hope you feel a bit better soon. Just getting out to the supermarket will help.
