are the sponsors of next years RCN 'excellence in nursing' awards for the learning disabilities category.

Is it just me?

Wtf? That's shocking!

EchoBitch Fri 26-Oct-12 14:55:21

Quite bizarre, what on Earth can they be thinking, and how insulting to all the clients and families who lived at that place.

Well no self respecting nurse would accept an award sponsored by an organisation like that, so it will be a none event.

you certainly wouldn't want to be nominated as being associated with such an organisation wouldn't be good for your career.

Oh dear dear. That was presumably some PR agency's idea of crisis management. What a terrible idea and what were the awards people thinking of?

Oh come on. ATOS sponsored the Paralympics.
They're sadists, the lot of them.

What Glitter said!

I was thinking more about what were the RCN thinking of.

To associate themselves with Castlebeck and endorse them as care providers for vulnerable people so soon after this awfulness is,well, just awful.

I'm an ex LD nurse and never saw anything remotely as bad as what went on at Winterbourne View.

EchoBitch Fri 26-Oct-12 16:51:58

I'm afraid i don't know anything about ATOS.

This is a disgrace but does not surprise me either. I have been to an event sponsored by Castlebeck a few years back and it was very fancy.
