YANBU. It's just what I used to do when I was little and mum wouldn't buy anything sweet
if you feel up to a bit of cooking;
4 tablespoons flour
5 tablespoons sugar
3 tablespoons cocoa powder
Pinch of salt
1 egg (lightly beaten)
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons melted butter/oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips plus extra for sprinkling
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1.Method1.First add the flour, sugar and cocoa into the mugs or the bowl; mix well.
2.Add the milk, butter/oil, chocolate chips and vanilla extract and stir well. Add the beaten egg.
3.Sprinkle with some chocolate chips and cover with a microwave proof cling film.
4.Microwave on medium-high for 1 minute and then for another 30 seconds. It should be cooked but moist and gooey in the middle.
5.Allow to cool and eat with some cream or ice cream.
I used to roll margarine in sugar when I was little and eat it. I also used to chew my dads posh cigars - which he kept in a little wooden box in the dining room - and no one ever seemed to notice or pull me up on it. Got to love 80s childhoods! So Yanbu.

Whereabouts are you? Surely someone can post a bar of something chocolatey through your door?!
Come on MN
You were unreasonable in not phoning domino's for your fix!
Your body was telling you it needed the elixir of chocolate melts and Ben and Jerry.
It was vital to your recovery.
You could make a chocolate bread & butter pud with what you've got there and that takes no skill at all.

Forgot you will need at least one egg. Got one?
Ok this is cheap and cheating but will be comfort snack.
Make 1/2 pint hot chocolate with milk (not water) and allow to cool so it's warm.
Wipe butter round small oven proof dish.
Beat egg and add to the now warm hot choc.
Pour a third of liquid into dish.
Slice your bread rolls (so they will absorb). Lay slices in oven proof dish so they overlap and totally cover the base of dish, but not overall more than 1 layer deep .
If you have any, scatter with a handful of nuts or raisins.
Pour on rest of liquid. Should be tips of bread just peeking above liquid.
Allow to stand for at least 20mins so bread absorbs. Whack in oven for 20 mins or until top starts to go crispy.
My Mum used to make chocolate spread from butter/ stork marge, sugar and cocoa powder. All spread on thick slices of white bread. Yummy.
YANBU.
You could try this if you're not yet sated? NB never made it, but have read about it!

No one offered to shove chocolate through letter box. I'm shocked and saddened!
Think this might need reporting to social services. You disgust us!
I do this frequently as we don't often buy 'treats'. Instead I end up consuming a kilo of homemade cookie dough

I was in a similar predicament earlier and had the choice of making toast with the remaining 2 slices of bread or eating a packet of bourbon creams.
The bread is still in the breadbin and I feel bloated and sick.
I saw your thread title and came on about to confess to doing the same! You're not alone.
I found myself so deprived of sugar based snacks once that I stuck a spoon in the golden syrup and ate it neat. Tis my darkest secret.
Heir I often take a spoonful of golden syrup when I'm baking, it's the law.
That's reassuring Sugarice . In that case I think I should probably confess that it wasn't just one time...

This is why I keep a jar of nutella in the cupboard!
You are all gross!I never ate so many jaffa cakes I threw them in the bin to stop myself eating them then got them out the bin and ate them all
