And why is it called a soap opera anyway? What's operatic about it?

I only joined to get some advice. Advice received, I'm hooked. I don't have any children to properly contribute and play an active role with in these forums so feel a little bit of a fraud but some of these threads are great so I just sit back and watch - pretty much like a soap opera.

The only soap I follow is The Archers as it was the only English soap I had access to whilst living abroad. AIBU is much better!

I love it [hgrin].

I've only ever done a light hearted one, about my cat waiting for me to top up his half full bowl. I could never put a serious one up in case I got a right kicking but love the ones who are bravedaft enough to do it.

The chip shop bad parker the other day was priceless especially when she let rip!

I don't watch soaps either.

That sounds about right, valium

I sure as hell know it's not the place for controversial stuff.

Amy, you are me! Grin (though could do without the Joe Grundy false teeth storyline at the mo..)

Rather have the story about the false teeth rather than Tom's ready meals! Sorry wrong forum
