Dodgy channels next to BBC

Argh. Have a Youview box which is great until the most recent 'reset your channels' message as they have added new ones. Now 'Rabbit' is the first one scrolled down from BBC1. And I can't see any way of deleting the adult channels. Why do Freeview put 'Rabbit' next to BBC1. I don't want to see dodgy pics of saddos and them texting about themselves either, if I accidently press the scroll button one too far. The kids are asking what 'Rabbit' is and i-ing it for info. Annoyed.

Given recent news I'm surprised you're not trying to delete BBC channels as well.

Oh yeah thats shit. Sky used to have the adult channels right before bbc1. Lost count how many times dd scrolled to babe station whilst playing with the remote.

Can't delete channels on youview! Can on freeview on my TV although it is a bit of a faff. Spoke to youview support and they confirmed that I can't delete the channels. They may decide to remotely update the boxes to be able to delete channels in a future update. Though whether this is possible I am not sure. Not happy.

Fucking rabbit and it's friends.
Make my tail twitchAngry

Lost track of how many times I deleted them during digital switchover.
(we got moved about and asked to retune, several times. Each time, of course the junk returned).

You ought to be able to permanently black list adult channels so when you retune, and they are still adding useful stuff to freeview here, they don't appear.

can't you set a profile that only shows the channels you want, or is that just on freeview.

I'd be cancelling too. This is just not right isn't it? The adult channels should be up in the high numbers so children can't accidentally see it. Though not the last ones as DD always press channel up on our sky box when on bbc 1. Luckily the highest number channel is some Irish radio!

I think on freeview they are quite high up and same with sky ,

My geeky DH bought the most complicated top box possible, you can probably get it to do the laundry if you have 20 years to spare.

My DDs are 11 and 14 and have lap tops, with only minimal protection set, so it just isn't worth the hassle.

But it jolly well, ought to be simple!

Isn't youview backed by lord sugar? You can always contact the daily mail to complain Grin.

Bizzy - which YouView box have you got, the Humax? We are looking to get a new one, but won't if you can't delete the channels, we'll get the other humax instead

I have parental controls on my sky box, locked with a PIN number.

Funnily enough, since we got that, dh doesn't stay up so late anymore, and is more, ahem, cuddly
