AIBU?

to think that this estate agent needs to learn how to take some photos

Ok, £2 million quid for a house. Not a mansion. And not in Chelsea, or even in London.

So what do you put as the cover photo?

A shot at a weird angle showing off all the hideous 1970s fugliness of the houss:

And then a few photos making it look cramped.

Same house, different agent:

It looks much nicer all round.

I mean obviously it's still hideous for £2 million, but still.

Speaking of hideous 70s horridness, not far away: www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-24397482.html?premiumA=true It looks like a council sheltered accommodation block.

It does seem a bit dated. I think will be spending my 2 million elsewhere..

Well, 10 miles south, for the same money:

I think I might spend my £2 million there, cos that is properly nice.

I have beaten you to it, but I might invite you over to play tennis and wander through the gardens..

Nothing to add except that if it takes £2,000,000 to buy a house in England, we're never going to be able to buy a house...

Sad

And the second looks so much more appealing!

Joan, that has so much potential to be cutting edge!

Is the price for the first two for real?

Homes are especially cheap in Sweden, believe it or not. I have no idea why.

I hope you can see this link but this is an idea of kind of thing you can get for £100k

apartment

Bargain Boomerwang, I don't think I've ever seen a property for sale with quite so many photos of it - English estate agents are sadly lacking on this front, about eight photos usually at the most and two of them will be of the garden Grin

The house in the first two has had new curtains since the first set of photos. and they have a new toaster and kettle.

Boomerwang that is lovely and at £100K an absolute bargain.

Pity that everything else in sweden is so expensive !

I am so glad I dont need to live in guildford - they are just rank !

is the rest of guildford as unappealing as these ?

Yes, everything in Sweden looks like a page from an Ikea catalogue.

The stunning thing is that despite being a Swedish company, you can buy the exact same items they sell in UK Ikea but for nearly twice the price. You'd think it'd be cheaper?

This thread has just reminded me why house prices in this country are totally stupid!

Even the nicer one is over- priced!
