Tell me if you can understand what I have said to them?
i ordered a jacket- its a nice, simple, slightly padded black coat- i ordered it online in the hope that i could try it on at home. It took 5 days to come, fair enough thats what they say on their website.
It finally arrived today. It is not the jacket i ordered at all. It looks like something that Pat Butcher would have worn in 1988. It is black with a huge pink and white chrysanthemum pattern on it. I phoned them. Very apologetic but useful as a chocolate teapot. Its perfectly reasonable that i should slepp to the nearest post office and send it back, despite it being their fault- they will then send me a replacement.
When i pointed out that that will not work because the Pat Butcher has the stock code on it belonging to the nice jacket and therefore exactly the same thing will happen again it is like i am speaking swahili. The person in the warehouse has not picked the wrong item- the item has the wrong code on it.
I am going to M & S tomorrow 'cos it is marginally better than the post office. They will not have it in stock because it is a petite. Should i physically bang my head on their desk, would it make any difference. I would have linked to the Pat Butcher but I can't find it anywhere on their website (wonders if it has been in the warehouse since 1988 and the number has been re-used)
