This is beyond horrible so please don't click on it if you're feeling sensitive.

I haven't even read the article, was browsing and saw the headline and a photo of this poor but clearly very brave lady.

But aibu to think that the headline is too graphic or am I being a wimp that doesn't want to face the awful things that go on in the world?

Headlines sell newspapers.

And get people talking and linking to the paper I guess.

But this is what is happening in the world. Do you want it hidden? Do you want only fluffy news?

I think you are being unreasonable, but I can understand why.

Every time we click those links the Mail makes money from us. I wonder how much your thread will earn them? I doubt they care what people's reasons are for clicking the link. The more clicks they get, the more money they make.

I think yabu.
I don't like the sensationalism of the DM but i think you're being ridiculously over sensitive.
Far worse for the poor woman.

Thats domestic abuse for you

I'm glad it's there, I may show my . It happens too often

I remember what its like being strangled. I remember almost blacking out..... Thank god I 'pretended' to, as at that point he released me.

'too graphic' for whom op?

people should know and be outraged that these things happen.

A woman who is suffering reads such accounts and knows that they are not alone. And knows what can happen. This may prompt her to ask for help.

raising awareness may help to change attitudes.

naming and shaming the abuser may help other women know to avoid him.

I guess for those of us who selfishly want to bypass the horrors that sometimes go on for the day, but ye, I know you're right.
