It's pretty and pleasant but sky 'faw' and tum 'bole' seriously affect my noggin. Didn't anyone in the recording process notice?

It's her style.

I think she should rerecord it so it doesn't sound like a cr*p version of diamonds are forever....

I agree with notactuallyme - just sounds like they have tried really hard to write a bond theme tune and come up with something very bland instead.

She sings "in the club style" . Its horrendous on this track, quite like the song otherwise.

Lol mintyy that is what I thought too

Lol it's funny you should mention Vic Reeves cos my 9yr old DS was singing it (dramatically) today and he sounded like Vic! Grin

MrsKeithRichards...Adele is English though?

also LOL @Worra

I find Adele tedious beyond words generally speaking. Not least because she sings in such an affected manner.

I thought she was singing, "when the scarf fawwwwl, apple crumbawwwl"

Crinkle77 · 17/10/2012 16:59

Her diction is terrible and a lot of the time you can't understand what she is singing about

She should re record it as a totally different song. It never really gets going does it? Mintyy is right though Vic Reeves pub singer definitely.

I hadn't noticed this but it will be grating on my nerves every time I hear it now! I think she's got a great voice but agree she mangles the words terribly.

YANBU it's awful!

But nowhere near as bad as the cover of Wherever You Will Go by the girl who can't pronounce her "r's"....

If I could, then I would
I'll go WHEREWEVA you will go
...
WUN away with my heart
WUN away with my hope

It gets more pronounced as the song goes on too! :o

I don't mind it actually. I'm surprised that nobody has mentioned that you can clearly hear her breathing sharply at the start of every line - poor production that.

I can't stand it, it's awful. Ds and I sing along to it in a very over dramatic way clutching at our chests and change the words to 'apple crumBOLE'.... you sort of have to be there Blush

YANBU!

I heard it on the radio and my face looked like Hmm

Report
MrsReiver · 17/10/2012 18:29

Oh I can't stand the song for all the reasons above! In fact I've ranted about it so much I've brainwashed my poor DS (8) so whenever he hears anyone mention Skyfall he has to reply by singing "Skyfow, apple crumbow!"
