Not the right place - are my waters leaking?

Sorry for posting here I can't find chat anywhere never posted before either

I'm 37w pregnant today with my 1st DC, just got up for one of my many mid night loo trips and by the time I've got to the toliet there was water running down the slides on my legs (not loads) my first thought was oh god I've wet myself but I checked and there's no way it was wee, my pants were quote wet too and this didn't smell of wee either, MW hasn't gave me any advice about iwhat to do if something like this does happen so thought I would ask the wise ladies of MN. Have I just wet myself or could it be my waters and if it is should I worry?

I'm no help I'm afraid because my waters never broke, but what you say sounds familiar from how other people have described it.

Have you got any numbers you can call to ask? NHS direct? I'm sure the maternity ward in hospital will have someone there at this time of night.

Don't be afraid to give them a bell, it's what they're there for.

Yes, phone the number on your notes. They might want you to come in, but might suggest you to wait until morning if there's nothing else going on with you. My waters went like that second time around, and then again a bit later.

Might be worth putting a maternity pad on (or a sanitary pad if you don't have any) as they will probably want to know what colour it is (clear/straw/greenish), and put a towel/mat under yourself in bed incase you go again tonight.

I'm excited but abit nervous, at my last appointment LO was breech so I have an appointment this week to check her position so I think it maybe could have been better for this to happen after that

I only have the number for labour ward should I call that or NHS24?

Could be waters leaking op, I also suggest calling the assessment unit on the maternity ward (number on your notes) they won't mind at all, it's what they're there for and they may or may not ask you to come in for examination - oooh how exciting though - won't be long now

No DP at work, I don't want to phone him either if its nothing but he'll be able to get home within 20min or so if he needs too

Could you give him a heads up so he can prepare himself (psychologically as well as sorting out the work he's got going on) as well as giving you a bit of RL support?

Unless you think he'll panic and run around in circles?

Exciting! My waters broke in the night a month early and I didn't know what to do either. My boyfriend eventually called the hospital and we were told to come in later that day. I was attached to a machine which took a reading over half an hour and then I was told to come back if I started having contractions, otherwise to come in the next morning and possibly be induced.

Don;t bother with NHS24. Call the number for the labour ward - They'll put you through to the assessment ward if necessary. Probably worth mentioning on the phone that baby was breech at your last appointment.

Phoned labour ward and have to call back in an hour if my pads wet then I new to go in for a check up as baby's breech and could be a worry

Both my boys were breech, one came at 37w 1 day and the other at 38 weeks.
fingers crossed all goes well.

I had thisbat 37 weeks turned out to be a discharge. I went in and got examined. never hesitate to ring thats what they are there for!

I had something very similar but it wasn't my waters, can't remember what it was though
