My DS is SN. Every weekday a school bus picks up and drops off DS to and from our house. For months the bus driver and I have had a pleasent relationship. He was exceptionally kind to us both.

On Friday pm he arrived as usuak. Did not say obe word to me. The bus guide I sometimes struggle to understand when she speaks to me. She spoke on this occasionand I asked her to repeat. She did and I understood it that she was leaving. I said to her OK then good luck.

Upon reading my DS home to school book I discover it is the driver that is leaving as my DS signed a leaving card.

He did not say one word to me, the driver starewas listwning to our chat, turned in his seat, looked straight ahead and drove off!

Cannot helpwondering why.

I got too much time on my hands, clearly.

Perhaps he was embarrassed and doesn't like a 'fuss'?

The Head teacher of my DS3's school retired last Easter and as pleased as she was with all the cards and presents, you could clearly see she was shy when parents went up to her and thanked her for everything.

Some people are just like that.

Maybe he feels sad too. Doesn't know what to say sort of thing. Maybe he's worried that you'll be miffed that he's leaving.

Tell him on Monday that you're sad that he's leaving and then judge the reaction. Maybe you're reading too much into it.

Yeah crossed my mind at the time Worra. I think you are right. I would have bought him a bottle of something.

Oh thats sad, maybe he was sacked and a bit embarrased, or maybe just upset he was leaving and didn't want to show it in front of everyone..
Whichever the reason for his leaving, try not to take his reaction too personally he's obviously got stuff going on.
